"Trump told me to do it..." 15 charged in Jan 6th say so under oath

And they decoded the message with their decoder ring...

Do you seriously think the majority of the country wasn't watching his speeches?

Then Y'all try and tell us what he said.

And when THAT doesn't work you say but...But He was the President!

Like that excuses the personal behavior of idiots.

Chuckles... decoder ring!

I really don't know what these folks where thinking and it is crazy thinking.

But, they all testify to the same thing.

Someone needs to go to jail.

The Impeachment even with a conviction and his being barred from holding political office is not enough.

I think is it time for the DOJ to go down to Florida and grab this Jackass by the neck and bring him to Justice.

No Justice No Peace

House impeachment manager Joe Neguse explained the importance of convicting Donald Trump: "We humbly, humbly, ask you to convict President Trump for the crime for which he is overwhelmingly guilty. Because if you don't, if we pretend this didn't happen, or worse, if we let it go unanswered, who's to say it won't happen again?"

For Trump to go unpunished is to ensure that there will be more right-wing coup attempts and terrorist attacks in the future. If history is a guide, at some point these inevitable right-wing assaults will be successful and American democracy will be permanently broken.

In a just world Trump's second impeachment would end with a conviction and a permanent ban from any future public office. In that same world, Trump and his co-conspirators and other agents in his coup attempt would face criminal prosecution and imprisonment.

But in the world as it exists, Donald Trump will not be convicted for his obvious crimes against the American people, democracy, the rule of law, human decency and the Constitution. Only a handful of Senate Republicans will vote to convict Trump, and no possible evidence could convince the others to do so.

During the impeachment trial this week Senate Republicans repeatedly showed their disdain and disengagement from the crucial historical task of holding Donald Trump, the de facto leader of their party, accountable for his evil behavior.
On Thursday, 15 Republican senators did not even bother to attend the trial. Throughout the Senate trial Republicans have been seen drawing pictures, reading and in general acting contemptuous of the proceedings.

This is expected: Today's Republicans Party endorses right-wing terrorism and other violence as a way of winning and keeping power.

Yes....Trump was the ring leader, the master mind. I think even rocks Ina river know Trump is responsible. By all accounts he would be convincted by 90% of Repubs if the vote was anonymous.

It's not anonymous so we are going to have a big problem moving forward with these REPUBLICANS who won't vote for impeachment.

The problem is they value their political careers over all else and that doesn't serve the country and it's citizens very well.

He asked for it and encouraged it.

Given the hack media you've no doubt chugged the chopped up clips and accepted it because that suits what you want.....I'm sure you believe that.

I don't think he did. Have yet to see any evidence of it beyond some out of context clips taken from a speech where he expressly condemns violence. Making all those "calls to violence" a fuckin' lie, they were expressly and specifically stated as not that and calls to civil/political "fights" not violent ones. But CNN/MSNBC and RAW won't ever tell you that or put a disclaimer on their clip, they just run the edited reel.

Then there is the timeline of events that day....the claims of Trump being some diabolical master mind of a coup/insurrection attempt? Are just silly.

Yea, the establishment fuckin' hates him.

But like you said, the voters love him, and the congress critters want to keep their jobs....which is representing their constituency, which is tired of (R)= (D) from 2-5 years ago.

"a sucker is born every minute".

For those of us who think clearly it is obvious that Humpty started his plan way back in 2015 to plant the seeds of "rigged elections" and the evidence presented over the last three days of how he and his staff monitored social media and used specific tweets all come together on Jan 6th.

His bringing the crowd together on Jan 6th and then directing them via social media are now all on the record.

Sorry dude....you missed it and you can go back and look at the transcripts.

Someone must go to jail.

Yes, we all know the (D)'s edited it all up and created a narrative they like.

It's still wrong. :D

Now there's interesting thought. It's 2/3 of the senators in attendance to convict, right? 2/3 of 85 is 57. That's doable.

You can expect them to be there for the vote. In my view though, as 'jurors', if they did not attend to hear all testimony, they should not be allowed to vote.

trump coming out and denouncing the insurgents cost him dearly. He lost a ton of "face" there.

After the Charlottesville tragedy the leader of the alt right group who organized that side of things said it wouldn’t even have been possible without trump signaling and emboldening them. So yes, they heard his call.

And those who are being prosecuted for Jan 6 are feeling abandoned and betrayed by trump because they feel they did what he asked them to do and he didn’t protect them.

When did Trump do that?

When did Saddam actually light a Kuwait oil well on fire?

When did Charlie Manson actually push a knife into someone?

When did Osama actually fly a plane into a building?

When did Hitler actually pour Zyklon B down a chute?

Ok so you can't actually back that claim up....typical E40...got it. :D

I'm not twisting anything.

I asked for evidence....you brought whataboutism.

There’s plenty of evidence. By your own admission, you are not able to see it. This is not surprising in the least.

Considering how your brain gets handcuffed with understanding censorship and free speech...not surprising at all.

Now call me a socialist comrade, tell me how I hate America, get the last word and declare yourself the winner. Then run along.

There’s plenty of evidence.

Yet you can't point to any....this is not surprising in the least ;)

Considering how your brain gets handcuffed with understanding censorship and free speech...not surprising at all.

I have no problem with that at all.

And I'm betting you can't point out or argue how I was wrong either. :D

Now call me a socialist comrade, tell me how I hate America, get the last word and declare yourself the winner. Then run along.

WAHHHHHHH!!! Sorest loser of the day award.

At least you were able to do it, that puts you head and shoulders above the other comrades :D
