Australian accent

While I do enjoy a flat, Australian twang, I find accents from the UK (London, Scot, Irish, in that order) to be instant-hardon-inducing.

My Hubby is an Aussie and I have lived there so I have heard thousands of women speak. Mostly it is very nice but occasionally the real Bogan women make it sound horrible.

Agreed....I'm an ex-Pom who's lived here for a LONG time. I'm sorry, but I just don't like the Aussie 'bogan' accent, especially in women

Yeah I think I know exactly the strident, piercing, "Billy goat pissing in a tin can" sound you mean.

Bit off putting. I've lost hardons in the past from that noise.

Many Australian women have an attractive accent. But some? They sound like Karens in full flow.

Yep there are three separate accents here, not separated by region, but by class. There is the bogun accent and ugghhh it grates on us too.

There is is the normal educated accent like you'd here on the news, then there is the private school accent people cultivate when they go to one of the prestigious schools.

How about singers from that country?

There are some great Aussie lady singers, Sarah McLeod, Sarah Black, The late great Christine Amplett, Jenny Morris, Deborah Conway are top shelf

The best thing about Aussie accents is that they come from Aussie women and men who are very horny for Yanks like me.
I laid a bunch of each when I was there.
