This almost seems like a Robert Frost quote, "The road less traveled .." and all. Or at least that is what it brought to my mind. I think when you pass the age of 50 or so, you have enough experience in life to reflect upon the choices that you made, and hopefully not have any regrets about the choices that you made in life.

For me, when I reflect back on the major choices I made, I have to think about who I was at that point in my life, what attitudes and perspectives I had, and ultimately think about what options I had given my own knowledge and experience at that point. If I really am honest with myself, most of the decisions I made in life were shaped by what I knew at the time, and while in retrospect I might have made decisions with better outcomes for myself, there was no way for me to know that at the time. Overall, I've come to the conclusion that life is about growing up and getting to know yourself well enough to have each successive choice you make in life be one that is better informed if nothing else.

So, hulmule -- looking back, are there any general suggestions on which roads you think are the best to travel for an individual?
