I enjoyed seeing Hackett at NEARfest many years ago.
No questioning his talent and his performances, but for some reason his solo albums don't "do it" for me.
A good friend of mine recently interviewed Hackett via Zoom. Let me know if you're interested - it's on YouTube.

I like their early- to mid output quite a lot. Not so sure about their "We're like Korn now, only with female vocals" current era. Seems very forced.
Loved Hackett when he was in Genesis and then in GTR.
I agree his solo work is hit or miss, especially song by song.
Under a Mediterranean Sky is his fourth "classical" album, largely meaning he is mainly using nylon strings. I like this one a lot. His talent comes through well.
I have watched a lot of interviews but would love to see it in case I missed it.
Thanks
I noticed a recent Lickerish Quartet interview that caught my attention. Love the new EP and their first a lot.Sorry I didn't see your comment before. The interview held last week is here:

My friend has a YouTube series in which he interviews a variety of musicians and music industry personnel. Recent interviews include Steve Morse (Deep Purple, Dixie Dreggs, and solo - among others), Tony Levin (King Crimson, and so many bands!), Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, and solo), Jon Anderson (Yes, and solo), Rikard Sjöblom (Beardfish, and solo), Geoff Downes (Yes), Geoff Downes (Yes, Buggles, Asia), Trey Gunn (King Crimson, Security Project, TU), Dug Pinnick (King's X), Rick Wakeman...
Upconing interviews include David Sancious, Pat and Deborah Mastelotto, Umphrey's McGee...
(In fact, I was interviewed in a 2-hour 4-person roundup on that series a few months ago)
