Poor Joe. First he pledged 100 million vaccinations in 100 days. Then someone pointed out that he was essentially pledging to continue the pace he inherited. So he raised to bar. “I misspoke” said POTUS. “I meant to say we’ll vaccinate 150 million!”

Today the White House clarified. Apparently Joe misspoke about misspeaking. He meant 100 million after all.

They really should learn how to use Google. The Trump Administration purchased 200 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 200 million of the Moderna vaccine.

I would think that the board Trumpettes would be very, very quiet about administration responses to the pandemic given how criminally deficient the Trumpers were in doing anything about it that wasn't obstructionist and running up the death toll.

But you were perfectly fine with Trump turning down the extra 100 million dose back in the end of August, right?

At least he admitted he misspoke instead of insisting he was correct from the start despite recorded evidence then accusing them of lying and being fake news like Trrump would. That or trotting out his poor press secretary to fall on his/her sword and making a fool of themselves like Trump would.

In a way this is kinda refreshing hypocrisy.

But that aside I want WH press reporters to hammer him on this. Time we get media being watchdogs for even the president they like instead of unfairly the one they didn't like. He probably would if they asked him about Hunter Biden and Burisma or the chinese connection all the time, or asked him about Tara Reed, or his record like voting for the Iraq war or his offering social security cuts in the grand bargain or the crime bill.

I think it is nice that Biden is willing to follow up on the Trump vaccine. If he wanted to be petty about it he could say it was produced too fast and that it is not safe and wait until his administration gets a totally new democratic vaccine ready in time for the 2024 reelection efforts of president Harris.

If a Trump admin spokesperson told me the sun was out, I'd look for my umbrella.
