Well .. I was going to suggest that the title of the thread be changed from "Great Guy Looking" to "Great Looking Guy" to see if that had any impact, but I realized that was a totally inadequate suggestion after reading your reply SassySheDevil.

So, your theory is that the more active a guy is on the boards, the more likely he will draw the attention of the ladies. That's actually a good start, but what should a guy post about? That's the tougher question -- it's easy to say -- participate, it's harder to generate something "witty and charming", after all, we are not all Cyrano's are we?

Or is this a world where all the women are Roxanne, and only a few men have the stuff Cyrano was made of?

Obviously some guys can get attention from a simple personal ad. But those are the very well written, often humorous ads.
But for the most part. Many women will tell you that they started talking to guys on here, because of his public posts. They got a chance to see what kind of person he was.
I certainly don't expect anyone to go out and fake a personality to impress someone. But if you are funny. Get out there and make people laugh. If you are a "nice guy" go out and show that.
But those women will often tell you that when you claim to be "hot", "funny", "Good looking" etc.. You often aren't.
That isn't always true of course. But jumping into threads that interest you, let others see you as a person, and not just a guy looking.

Brutal honesty.. You have to find a way to stick out here. There are a million guys looking, and very few women looking. Many of the women come here just to socialize now, and anything else that happens is just a bonus.
I never came here looking for anything, but because of those interactions, I found many friends along the way. Many of those who I met in person.

Relationships happen here. Just not always the kind you were originally searching for.

Honestly best thing you can do is get into the threads, and get active. That’s what I did, and I’m assuming most of the other guys did too. Everyone here is extremely kind!
