I don't like the idea of the mother grooming him and then blackmailing him unless you can go for the humour angle. Also, the idea of the mother being incredibly open minded and the son repulsed: how would that work.

Just an idea, have the mother go on some really bad dates, meanwhile the son is loving, makes her laugh, and they go out on Mother's Day and a few other times, she gets tipsy this one time. Then make her emotionally manipulative, but just a little bit.

Just my bias: IRL I enjoy sex you have to take a shower after, but don't much like the thought of having sex with someone who needs a shower before we start. It's disgusting, but not in a fun way. To me dishonesty is a real problem, a material hindrance to any relationship. In my scenario the son is disgusted because he was deceived, lied to, but he understands why to the extent he wouldn't outright refuse.

If you define incest as sex with someone you can't legally marry due to blood affinity, while I have serious "daddy issues" I have never done that. But the people who have often called me out for having relationships with older men who were "daddy figures" made me think about this topic long ago. I believe Westermarck is learned not genetic.

My parents were married (to each other), and I suppose happy together. My father ran a successful business (that my sister succeeded him at). In my eyes he was the "ideal man." Society would blame and pummel any man in his position who, well ... Society (and my family) was disapproving enough of my having a fiance who was my father's age.

I don't read stories if I find the characters to be unlikable. If she is desperate and unlovable or if he is despicable I would stop reading it. Maybe I'm the only one. I also like stories where I don't have to suspend my disbelief too much. For me the son has to be conflicted, not truly revolted, or he just wouldn't do it.

Everyone I know who enjoys the genre tells me that non-con is hot because it absolves the "victim / slave / submissive / bottom" of their responsibility to adhere to societal norms of behavior. In an incest story that can partially be covered by keeping everything on the low down. In this case nobody but mom and sonny need to know.

People, most all animals, are wired to desire sex. So, the question is "why doesn't Junior just have sex with mom? If the only answer is that society disapproves that is an incredibly weak argument. People do things society disapproves of everyday. Especially if society won't find out.

Blackmail is only a moderate coercive force. Like little kids saying: "do this or I'll tattle." If its really all that disgusting or gross junior just takes his medicine and deals with the fallout. So in order for Junior to fuck his mom, he needs to be conflicted not appalled by the thought. At some level he needs to want to at least a little bit.

There was this straightforward kind of guy that was to meet his mother at a business conference after she gave a talk. He ran late, which he knew was going to piss her off because she was this high-energy financial player.

Something about this triggers her, and she starts asking him, 'what if it's not?' 'What if that guy saw something in me that made it seem it was okay to approach me?' She even turns the tables on the son. 'Is that why you ask? Do you see something about me that makes you think I'm open to that?'

She pressures him about it being him who got her over there to his place, that things aren't going well for her, that she works her ass off, and she's totally bored.

He's speechless. Taken back.

She asks him what he's going to do about it.
