Bogus, and a Swindle

Bogus- Counterfeit, not genuine: not real

How strange, that former Republicans rejected their leaders in favor of Trump, because
Trump's lies seemed to tell more of the truth, to them. In real life, they continue to be lies.

Uncertainty of what is real, what is not real, begins- Trump's welcoming of Putin's gremlins.

Trump feeds from the hands that feed American gremlins-

Fear of them, inhabits Trump Loyalists, and perhaps Trump, himself.

Trump's broadcasts are as real, as Monopoly playtime money for children.
A skit performed by unwilling people used as stage-props.
Recorded propaganda effort peopled by paid performers, lent by corporations that own them.
Potemkin facades, hiding the truth of the reality of actions taken by Trump.

Americans bilked out of a real American government by the Trump Loyalist regime -

Bait and Switch- The two-faced speech of Trump Loyalists-
The failure of press and media to obtain a clarification of double-meaning words of Trump.

Republicans pushed out of the Trump Train, jumped off of it, or died of it.

The Great Enabler, Trump, King of Deceit, Fraud, Misinformation, and Debt

Love from Trump Loyalists for Trump, because his lies enabled Trump Loyalists to battle
Democrats with the weapons of lies, denial, deflect, and avoid.

The strange mirror of Trump's Imaginary Alternate Universe distorts the image
of reality-based America. Reality-based America spoke, again. A determined rejection
of Trump.

People living in real America do not want to trade reality-based America for Trump's
Imaginary Alternate Universe version of America. The lies and denials are killing people.

Trump sought to tap Sidney Powell as special counsel for election fraud

December 19, 2020 - December 20,2020

Powell, a conservative firebrand who represented Flynn in his long-running fight against
a criminal charge for lying to the FBI, has amplified calls for Trump to invoke the
insurrection Act, an 1807 law that enables the president to deploy troops to suppress
domestic uprisings.

Far-right protesters disrupt Oregon Legislature special session

Oregon’s third special legislative session of the year got off to a contentious start
Monday morning, with a Republican senator ripping off his mask on the chamber
floor and a small group of demonstrators forcing their way into the Capitol.

Meanwhile, several dozen (extremist Right-Wing) demonstrators (from Vancouver,
Washington state) gathere outside the n(Oregon) Capitol as part of a “nonpermitted
flash mob” against COVID-19 restrictions.

Salem Police Department officers pushed the crowd out of the building, when
another protests used bear spray against law enforcement, OSP said in the news
release.

Extreme right-wing Patriot Prayer protesters storm
Salem, Oregon state capitol building

Not long after Trump tweeted a message to his violent, illegal pretend militias
to "stand by, and stand down, " Trump sent a tweet out to his armed civilian
gremlins, to take "extreme action."

Seems as if, Idaho state officials have had enough of mounting coronavirus problems,
and are establishing limits and regulations-

In charging at least three people in a protest that took place outside one elected official’s
home in Boise, police have alleged that conduct has gone beyond the scope of speech
and assembly protected by the First Amendment.

But when exactly is that line crossed, and when can police pursue charges?

Idaho isn’t the only Western state where protests have taken place at the homes
of elected officials.

Trump's Imaginary Alternate Universe Reindeer Games never have to end-

Stroke my lizard brain, he ( Dr. Sebastian Gorka, PhD) told the MyPillow Guy.

Make me feel aggrieved, enraged, afraid.

At this point, the talk of how the election was rigged is not based in anything
that actually happened, nor is it required to make much sense.

By stating it, you assert your allegiance to The Movement.

It is a litmus test, a loyalty oath.

You can get down into the details, reciting the conjuring words to show
just how committed you are. Or you can just talk loudly about how mad
you are. Either works.

This is what Walter Benjamin called "the introduction of aesthetics into political life."

The president and his loyalists are engaged in a kind of theatrical performance,
a made-for-TV production of the great War on the many Enemies.

You need only signal that you believe the show must go on.

Trump and his allies have already sought judicial intervention in dozens of suits
filed since the election and have met no success.

More than 90 state and federal judges, appointed by members of both parties, have rejected
challenges to the election by the president, his campaign and his allies.

In some cases, judges have found that the party objecting to the election did not have
standing to sue, or inappropriately challenged the voting procedures only after the election.

But in many of the suits, judges evaluated Trump’s claims of fraud and found there was no evidence to support them.

Trevor Potter said the remedy Gohmert is seeking “would stand the Constitution on its head."
"It would effectively deliver to the vice president the right to determine who won the
presidential election."

"If the vice president has authority to pick his favorite electors, then you wouldn’t need
a Congress or a Constitution.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...5fb512-4a05-11eb-839a-cf4ba7b7c48c_story.html

Gohmert’s suit, which was joined by a group of Republicans in Arizona including the
chairwoman of the state GOP (Kelli Ward, Arizona) argued that the law that governs
next week’s congressional action is unconstitutional because it impinges on Pence’s
sole authority to recognize electors. The suit argues that a federal judge should order
that Pence can choose to recognize alternate electors who support Trump should he
wish to do so.

Legal experts said the lawsuit was meritless and would probably be dismissed by a federal judge for multiple reasons.

Among other things, the suit envisions competing slates of electors from which Pence
could choose.

However, despite intense pressure from Trump, no state legislature actually agreed to set
aside the November vote and appoint alternate electors. Instead, informal groups of Trump
supporters met in some state capitols earlier this month and appointed themselves electors,
in ceremonies that had no force of law.

In a statement, Gohmert nevertheless asserted that seven states had sent
“dueling slates of electors” to Washington.

Lawyers for Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) and Arizona’s 11 Republican electors revealed
Tuesday that Vice President Mike Pence declined to sign onto their plan to upend Congress’
certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.

Gohmert and the electors are seeking an expedited schedule for the judge, U.S. District Court
Judge Jeremy Kernodle of the Eastern District of Texas, that would result in a ruling no later
than Jan. 4, so they have an opportunity to appeal ahead of the Jan. 6 session of Congress.

Brad Raffensperger's Brother Is Not A Chinese Tech Executive Named Ron

Trump Goes On Unhinged Rant Against Brad Raffensperger's Fictitious Brother

Crooks and Liars

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has come under heavy criticism
from Trump, including in tweets late Tuesday night.

“I love the Great State of Georgia, but the people who run it, from the Governor,
@BrianKempGA, to the Secretary of State, are a complete disaster and don’t have
a clue, or worse,” Trump wrote. “Nobody can be this stupid.”

Trump’s tweets included a reference to a conspiracy theory involving someone who
shares the last name of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger (R) but is not
related to him.

“Now it turns out that Brad R’s brother works for China, and they definitely don’t
want ‘Trump’. So disgusting!” Trump wrote.

OK: 1) Brad Raffensperger does not have a brother who “works for China.”
Trump was echoing a debunked conspiracy theory. 2) Raffensperger does have
*a* brother. His staff said as recently as this morning that he only had two sisters,
but there is a bro, and another sister.

Trump's Proud Boy's are not the only unhinged, violent, armed, conspiracy enthusiasts.
Don't forget about Trump's Oath Keepers - According to their leader Stewart Rhodes,
the Oath Keepers, an American far-right anti-government militia organization, will lead
a “bloody civil war and revolution” if Trump leaves office and Joe Biden is sworn in
as president.

In his open letter Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes writes:

Through well-orchestrated mass vote fraud, the Communist Chinese and their
domestic enemy allies are about to install their illegitimate puppet, Joe Biden,
and his equally illegitimate puppet running mate, Kamala Harris, into the White
House, with their treasonous fingers on the nuclear launch codes.

Trump has spent the past seven days effectively in hiding, apart from delivering
a scripted farewell address that his staff recorded and released Tuesday afternoon.

(Not a Live press conference - No questions from the press. The Post did a fact check.
Is there any part of the videotaped speech that is not a lie ?)

The staffers who remain in the largely emptied-out White House have been scrambling
to build a departure ceremony on Wednesday morning at Joint Base Andrews befitting
Trump’s vision of a grand military send-off.

Aides have been trying to dredge up a crowd by sending invitations far and wide
and encouraging people to bring friends, telling them they can have five tickets.

(Where are my stage props ?)

Trump hinted in his farewell video that Wednesday may not be his final day
on the political stage.

“Now, as I prepare to hand power over to a new administration at noon on Wednesday,
I want you to know that the movement we started is only just beginning,” Trump said.
“There’s never been anything like it. . . . The best is yet to come.”

'A Hack Job,' 'Outright Lies':

Trump Commission's '1776 Report' Outrages Historians

Jan. 19, 2021 at 1:02 p.m. UTC

Historians responded with dismay and anger Monday after the White House’s “
1776 Commission” released a report that it said would help Americans better
understand the nation’s history by “restoring patriotic education.”

The 45-page report is largely an attack on decades of historical scholarship,
when it comes to the nation’s 400-year-old legacy of slavery, and most of
those listed as authors lack any credentials as historians.

Several historians said it was particularly offensive that the report was released on
Martin Luther King Jr. Day and included several photos King and quotes they said
were taken out of context.

The commission began in part as a response to the New York Times’s 1619 Project,
a group of essays by historians and journalists about the way slavery has shaped
the nation.

The last dying breath of Trump's battle against votes for Biden,
did not end at the dropped lawsuit.

One more act of Trump fuckery- (caused much cawing among reporters,
speculation of Trump landing himself in legal hot water, political operatives
directly interfering with the oust, so that it could not happen - Did others
seek to avoid getting scortched by the firestorm that might erupt ?)

"The move was first reported by the New York Times. "

Trump plotted to toss the acting attorney general,
insert a stooge, and block the electoral count

Trump worked with Department of Justice lawyer Jeffrey Clark on a plan
that would have removed acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen

Daily Kos

Trump and Justice Dept. Lawyer Said to Have Plotted to Oust Acting AG

The Justice Department’s top leaders listened in stunned silence this month:
One of their peers, they were told, had devised a plan with President Donald J. Trump
to oust Jeffrey A. Rosen as acting attorney general and wield the department’s power
to force Georgia state lawmakers to overturn its presidential election results.

The department officials, convened on a conference call, then asked each other:
What will you do if Mr. Rosen is dismissed?

The answer was unanimous. They would resign.

The New York Times

January 23, 2021

The people said Rosen, Donoghue, Engel and Cipollone pushed against the idea
of replacing Rosen, and warned of a mass resignation.

Barr was confident that Rosen shared his views and would thus not succumb
to any pressure campaign to upend the election results, people familiar with
the matter said. But soon, there emerged a bizarre plot to go around him,
the people said.

Trump ultimately left Rosen in place.

Rep. Scott Perry played role in Trump scheme to replace attorney general,
says New York Times report

January 24, 2021

In the end, the effort to replace Rosen with Clark was dropped.

“Scott Perry, this is not your first time being a national embarrassment
but make it your last – resign,”
- Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta, D-Philadelphia.

86 bogus Trump attempts to attack election results, and Trump could always find
Republicans to lie for him.

Now, Republicans are pleading to Democrats to protect them from the consequences
of the truth, and to start keeping secrets for them.

Republicans endangered Democrat lives, by telling lies about Democrats -
Democrats suffered death threats, because there was no secrecy about the
truth of their actions and words.
