A. I don't think he ever once said he would shut down the economy, only that he would listen to the scientists, which he is doing so right now, unlike trump.

B. The keystone pipeline was only worth 500 jobs during its construction, and then only 50 for maintenance once built iirc. Not anything to write home about and America is currently oil self sufficient.
