Stop and think about it from their viewpoint. They know that they stole the election. If you tried to take over a country the size of the USA and you knew that 70 million people are not happy about it...wouldn't you be a bit paranoid? By the way, who told you that Trump is gone? Trump is not geographically in the White House but he is far from gone. Even if he was dead what he triggered is not gone. Lincoln became more powerful after the democrats took him out.

National Guard troops were forced to evacuate the Capitol building grounds on Thursday and hang out in parking garages, allegedly after a Democrat congressman complained about one National Guard member not wearing a mask at a cafe in the building.

According to a source, Rep. Will Keating (D-MA) reported to the Capitol building authorities earlier in the day that a National Guardsman was seen in a Dunkin Donuts without a mask on.

Most should've never been there in the first place. The whole deployment was borderline insanity, 25,000 troops was lunacy! An enhanced maneuver brigade would have sufficed. They all come with aviation assets, MP companies as well as engineer assets. This was a breakdown in leadership which started well before Jan 6th.
