People die in car wrecks every day and poor highway conditions are often a factor. I say we add that to the death toll of whoever is the POTUS and blame them for all other diseases and deaths too. After all, they were elected to give us eternal life and well-being. Doesn't the Constitution say that the governments job is to give us "LIFE libtardary* and the pursuit of happiness."
*Just made up my own word: "Libtardary" I like it too!![]()
Not to mention it was the Republicans' patron saint, Ronald Reagan, who started the trend away from spending any more in infrastructure than absolutely couldn't be avoided, with the result that our roads and bridges have been steadily decaying for decades.

States can't invoke the WPA.The vast majority of our roads and bridges are controlled by the states, not the feds.
Which by most measures are some of the better roads in most states....especially California.
Again....much as with COVID you leftist REALLY need to figure out that states are a thing, it's the United STATES of America, not the Unified Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic of America...... and your governor/state legislatures are not only real but are actually in charge of the majority of your governance, not the feds.
States can't invoke the WPA.
States rely on the CDC and NIH for tests, agencies they have no control over.
One state that desperately needs supplies can't stop another state that is just stock piling supplies from doing that.
You really need to understand that the federal government has a role during a pandemic.
