When I'm not posting here, I'm writing stories. I only visit the Politics Board when the inspiration is faltering...

My story total on Lit is now over 400. Can I make it 500 by the end of 2021?

Ditto. I come here for breaks from writing (over 1,300 stories across pen names here). It was pointing to, unmasking, and popping lies about and supporting Trump and laughing at Trumpettes that brought me here. 47 hours and that won't need to be done, as he's defeated, a loser and failure, and will be gone in disgrace. Truth will have won. The board Trumpettes will truly be on empty. They've already switched to razzing on an administration that hasn't even come into office yet. That can all just be ignored. They are pond scum.

I find politics boards to be a place where opposing groups let each other know that their extreme viewpoints won't go unchallenged, which should be a cautionary reminder that their extreme actions won't go unchallenged IRL.

This applies to far right AND far left extremists.

IMHO some opportunistic criminals have exploited BLM protests and used them as cover for their looting and vandalism. Some opportunistic criminals have also exploited Trumps presidency as cover for their racist, anarchistic assaults on the United States government and people of color.

Now that the general population has seen what those criminal's modus operandi are, the public and law enforcement should be better prepared in the future if they try to repeat their criminal behavior. Preparation combined with prosecution will ultimately win the day.

I don't know if I've seen a "far left extremist" on Lit since pp_man and Redwave both passed away circa 2006.

I'm thinking posters like SevMarx2 , rae, etc, who have expressed some pretty extreme views that oddly enough parallel some extreme far right views; breaking up the United States into ideological enclaves being the most common. Portraying the United States as the only bad actor on the world stage is also a common extreme viewpoint expressed by the "left". Again, the far right parallels this somewhat with their isolationist rhetoric.

Those who cite EVERY police shooting of a black person as proof of institutional racism are also extreme. Institutional racism is real; but when EVERY black person shot is elevated to martyr status regardless of the circumstances, it's actually counterproductive to addressing the underlying biases prevalent in society. If people just stick to the statistics, the bias in law enforcement, etc, reveals itself quite plainly.

With the advent of camera phones,etc, heinous actions by racist cops are being exposed more frequently, and there is no need to embellish the truth. A good examples would be the significant differences between the killing of George Floyd and Rayshard Brooks. The message gets diluted when EVERY shooting is unjustified and worthy of suing the city or state for millions. It starts to look like a racket.

Um......, I would respond to the first part if I could make sense of it.

As far as the second part, I have no doubt there would have been a significant body count if the insurrectionists had been anything but white Trump cultists. That is the obvious bias I was referring to which is plain to see and needs to be advertised.

I was shocked personally, because I expected the initial attack to be forcefully repelled with extreme prejudice. The fact that it didn't happen left the institutional racists in charge of security with their dicks in their hands and their asses hanging out. The only positive to come out of the Capitol breach, is that security planners have no excuse to not respond more robustly if similar actions occur in the future.

This is separate from the issue of BB spamming or his politics.

I just don't think that all the BB-sounding alts belong to BB.
I think that some might belong to Q, counsellor or whomever, who pretend to be BB.

Say anything you like about BB, Luk and Rob, -- we often disagree or dislike each other, especially when it comes to our moral codes--

I first came to this forum hoping to find nuanced and diverse political analysis of different strategy and policies. From time to time I get that here, but for the most part this forum is a jousting arena where people just charge in swapping party talking points and worse personal attacks.
