Indeed. We find it frightening how dedicated and dangerous radicals of Islam are, but the fact is all religious extremists are dangerous, and there are way more radical Christian terrorist attacks here in our country. The framers were right to see a need to separate church and state!

They are nuts, and they are dangerous to a functional Democracy. You cannot have a Democracy as we have known if religious extremists are given a seat at the table. I read an article written by an historian I follow about the medieval iconography displayed at the Insurrection, such as Templar flags. The theme of the article was that war brings out this kind of shit. People want to see themselves as noble patriotic Christians fighting the evil empire. Meanwhile, a woman I used to be connected to on social media was charged today for her role in the Insurrection. She sees herself as a patriotic Christian defending the US from liberalism. Yet she bought into Q-Anon hook, line, and sinker. She's destroyed her life over conspiracy theories and a douchebag potus who can't even read a book, other than Mein Kamph.
