The difference in the treatment of black and white protesters is a fact and indicates that the Police are not unbiased in their reactions.

That is a problem that has to be addressed so that all civil unrest is treated equally.

Only when all violent behaviour attracts the same response will there be trust in law enforcement agencies. Whether that response is strong or weak is irrelevant as long as it is the same for whoever is guilty of violence. Those committing violence while bearing weapons should be jailed whether black or white.

The problem with her comment is that

Yes, Black civilians Are often treated more harshly by racist cops, than White people. Yes, most BLM protesters were peaceful & legitimate.

But on the other hand, a % of them Did loot and set fires, some Did try to take over the White House.

Guess which part will the far Right versus far Left focus on? Neither part can be contested, so this will end up in an unresolvable squable between them.



This sweeping generalization isn't a mere gaffe on her part, Kamala is an intelligent and calculated woman.
I didn't initially like Biden, but I'm starting to warm up to him & find him to be more straight-up & less crafty.
