So, I wonder what all these folks who marched to the Capitol and sacked it will be thinking today upon hearing this speech? Many of them are being rounded up by authorities and facing long federal sentences. Many of them will have to carry criminal records for the rest of their lives, affecting their ability to work, many have wrecked their home lives though they might not realize it yet.

Their leader had abandoned them to save himself... surprise, surprise, surprise.

Oh wait, I'm actually thinking and using reason....which is not what these morons who follow Trump are doing.

The only thing that's going to work with Trump for the next two weeks is to cut him off from all communications. The suggestion has been made that he be flown to Mar-A-Lago, put on the golf course, and not allowed off the golf course (or his cellphone).

Insofar as throwing his supporters under the bus, that's the way Trump is...he lives "in the moment". Every day he wakes up, he has to "win". Yesterday doesn't matter. What he said or did doesn't matter, all that matters is "winning".

This part clarified a bit the contradictory/incompatible feelings that I'm holding about those who stormed the Capitol:

On one hand I see them as thugs or Banana-Republic lookalikes.
On the other hand, I feel a bit of sympathy for 1/10th of them: when you are convinced that your country has suffered a coup d'etat via stolen elections, wouldn't you try to stop it?

1/3rd of America used to be Trump supporters. Some of them Are indeed thugs and morons, but just a %. What you guys are implying is that 1/3rd of America have either low IQ, or antisocial traits.
