LOL at the GOP

Let us take a moment and reflect on the sheer stupidity and incompetence of the Republican Party. They say Republicans know how to win elections, but don't know how to govern. i think this has been proven true.

Four years ago they had everything, including a POTUS wildly popular with their party. He's still wildly popular with their party and commands a cult-like following. They were gifted a great economy and a wide open path to put in all the crazed religious nutball judges on the courts they could wish. They completely took over SCOTUS.

And yet here they are, destroyed and out of power. They couldn't even get through 8 years.

What destroyed them in the Senate? Mitch McConnell couldn't be bothered to give the American people 2 thousand bucks. Nope. Forget his allegiance to his donors, it was total utter political incompetence.

Which is the same reason they lost POTUS. The writing was on the wall. The American people wanted a President who took a worldwide pandemic seriously, and he refused. It wasn't a secret. 78% of the country took COVID seriously and wanted a plan and leadership, even some Republicans. But their POTUS was simply too dumb and narcissistic to do it. The more self-destructive it was shown to be, the more he doubled down on a #LOSING position. And he lost.

They had total control of government, but couldn't be bothered to govern. The pandemic shouldn't have wiped them out, but it did. They see power merely as a way to more power and to reward their donors and f the people. They showed nothing but contempt for the purpose of government, to protect and help people, and here they are.

I find it hysterical and also troubling at the same time...Repubs actually believe no governing is good governing and yet they raise and spend millions and millions of dollars to get elected or re-elected.

I think any reasonable person would wonder at the hypocrisy of this dichotomy. Why run, why get elected if your goal is to not do anything or listen to and respond to the constituents they serve.

Well, it's because they serve wealthy special interests almost exclusively....every once in a while they throw the people a bone.

Nothing illustrates this better than their abject failure to do anything regarding the pandemic and the resulting economic devastation created by it.

They called stimulus checks/relief checks supporting a Socialist agenda and begrudgingly issued them. This is absurd....it is we the people who put these folks in office and we know what we want from them....to govern and do right by ALL OF US!

The 2020 elections have a clear message running through all of it:

We elect you Mitch, Trump and all other.

We expect you to govern for all of us.

The power does reside within the people...not with elected officials...your there to serve and represent us all.

...and when you don't, you will get the boot but good!

Repubs will continue today to not listen and so they will seal their fate as a defunct ineffective party.
