IT’S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

● Four years to save the Earth: 2020 is the deadline to avert climate catastrophe, experts claim in chilling commentary.

—Agence France-Presse, June 29, 2017.

I blame Obama:

● President ‘has four years to save Earth.’

—The London Guardian, January 27, 2009.

Which brings us to our current hellscape: “A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a ‘Siberian’ climate by 2020.”

—The London Guardian, February 21, 2004.

There is no climate catastrophe, its BS

This has been going on a lot longer than your examples

In order to over throw a nation as powerful as the USA once was the economy needs to be broken. Energy is the backbone of the global economy and the USA economy. So by fooling kids into believing that the sky is falling for this that or the other reason they can breed generations of people that will attack the energy that keeps them alive. The only reason that earth is able to sustain it's current population is because the earth is home to so much energy. Without fuel the population of the world would plummet. People would freeze to death by the millions and mass migrations south would cause wars. Farming requires vast about of energy and without high production farms billions would starve. Don't take my word for it ... it is coming to a planet near you. All of that sounds wonderful if your goal is to destroy the USA.

So, if you look back in time you will see they have peddled fake science crap about global freezing and then in the next breath warn about global warming.

By the way: The Earth has had many ice ages. The ice did not engulf the world due to cars that did not exist. Nor did it heat up because of cars that did not exist. The earth has been warming for 100s of years as we are emerging from the last ice age. The process has been going on before Al Gore was born and it has nothing to do with with all the carbon it takes to heat his swimming pools.

If what you both saying is true as you see it....then...

Why are all energy companies transferring to renewable energy resources and technology to the tune of investing millions and millions of dollars?

Is it a conspiracy or are they just very smart and following the science and numbers....which they know better than anyone.

Hmmm????

Yes, of course money.... companies worth billions of dollars don't do things lightly if they don't see something worth it for them.

We use a term in business for energy companies right now...it's called a "cash cow".

They are taking in as much not as they will ever see without much risk or input costs and especially when oil prices rise....they shovel the money in like there is no tomorrow.

What is their incentive right now, given what they have economically, to invest millions upon millions of dollars outside of this mature cash cow market they currently have? Why incur the risk?

Whim? Conspiracy? Or do they see something that is more profound?

Money.

Coming and going all bases covered.

Oil and gas is often painted as the dirtiest sector within the energy industry, but major companies have begun to invest in renewable technologies in a bid to clean up the economy.

Of the six “super-majors” – BP, Shell, Chevron, Total, Eni and Exxon – many of them have pumped billions into clean energy projects, although question marks remain over whether they are doing enough.

Despite the growth in renewables, “big oil” only spent 1% of its combined budget on green energy schemes in 2018.

Fossil fuel is not renewable and will run out at some point. All big energy companies know this....it's just a question of when and how to make the transition.

I like your posts and information!

The two conspiracy theorist who started this thread...I'd like to here what they have to say?

Hmmm????

Because renewable energy makes sense if driven by technology and not looney toon doomsayers.

Branding. It's all social outreach to increase sales.

For as long I can remember, the Chicken little crows has been crowing their abject ignorance of Science by declaring that were are going to run out of oil, but to date, that has no happened and we have discovered the oil creation is an ongoing thing. When "renewables" become viable and abundantly available at a lower cost, then people will do the smart thing instead of trying to force (or shame) them into doing the right thing. People vote their own self-interest with their money.
