So very sad it has come to this....between our leaders not leading and individuals not taking it seriously we have made our own bed in the USA.

At this rate...I am unfortunately revising my guesstimate of 400,000 deaths by March to 550,000 within a one year period.

Inspite of vaccinations taking place, there just are too many dummies in this country who will not take it or take this crisis seriously..

This, and the predicted SNAFUs in the vaccine rollout are starting to manifest themselves.

Fortunately it appears many people took the warnings about Thanksgiving gatherings seriously, so hopefully the spike should be manageable for hospitals and other healthcare settings.

If people continue to be somewhat disciplined throughout the holidays, there's a good chance we can avoid a catastrophic cascade collapse of our healthcare systems.

It will be much worse than these estimates. We are averaging 3300 a day right now. That is 10,000 every 3 days. That is 100,000 in 30 days. This means we will be over 400k by the end of Jan. If lucky...which means the stupids decides to change...we are looking at 500k by March 1st. After this, the vaccination programs may slow the rate down...to where we only lose a million

Where I live in rural Arizona, every day I see stupids who refuse to wear a mask, especially men. This macho stupidity has been programmed so deeply by our right-wing leaders for the past year. You can see it right here on Lit among the posters who continually downplay the crisis.

It is so unfortunate that we had a right-wing administration when this pandemic hit. This has been a true failure in national leadership that has caused so many avoidable deaths, so much stress in our health care facilities, and so much confusion and inconsistency in our service economy.
