Forum side profile updates have been broken for several years and are low priority to fix. Author side profiles do update. There are two systems, no longer connected.

There is no reason to PM anyone about changing a profile. What is it you're really after?

I've observed exactly the opposite: I could update my profile here on the forum site without problems but the changes to my story site profile don't get saved.

That is odd. I wonder if it depends when you set up a Lit account, as to how joined up they where at that time. Dunno.

Interestingly, it was suggested to me to add a signature, so I did. And I think it popped into my profile.
