Now that the Wuhan Flu as been discovered in the wild Mink population it has come to light that other species MAY be carriers. It has been found in the domestic dog and cat population as well as a captive Tiger. All of which means that the Canine, Feline, and Mustelidae families are potential carriers of the disease.

And this may explain how the disease exploded across the nation with the onset of Flu season. It also goes a long way to explain why none of the edicts handed down from on high have had any appreciable effect in curtailing the disease.

Mink trainers were stymied by the anti-mask weasel lobby.

So many needless stoles.

According to the World Organisation for Animal Health, there have not been any reports of pets spreading COVID-19 to people. However, reports from the Netherlands suggest that a small number of workers on infected mink farms may have been infected by the mink. This is an area that continues to be studied.

Woah!

The operative phrase is "there have not been any reports." Over the course of this pandemic the "authorities" have given us all sorts of assurances that have turned out NOT to be true. I can find no reason to start trusting them now.

What would be interesting is for anyone that tested positive and owned a pet for their pet to be tested as well. And then it would have to be determined who infected who. Right up there with, "the dog ate my homework."

Very interesting.

I had not heard about this in the "news." Very interesting. Do you have a link so that I can look into this? Thanks for the heads-up. I will be getting a mask for my pet mink later today.;)

Side point: It bugs me that items like this are filtered out of the fake news outlets. People need this information.

When you mistrust authority there are way more opportunities to advance crazy ideas.

No. Poor reaction and not listening to experts helped spread COVID more than a feline. FFS.

You guys do an excellent rendition of the old robluk gay fantasy threads.

It's like they never left; ten years of gay male oral sex depictions "about someone else".

Classic; thanks for the lols.

the information IS out there, just check the cdc website. animals do not appear to play any significant role in spreading the disease, though it is believed it originally jumped to humans from the likely suspect of a bat. there certainly isn't any data suggesting domestic animals are responsible for the widespread cases of covid-19...that's ALL on people.

What you need to know

  • We do not know the exact source of the current outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), but we know that it originally came from an animal, likely a bat.
  • At this time, there is no evidence that animals play a significant role in spreading SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, to people.
  • Based on the limited information available to date, the risk of animals spreading COVID-19 to people is considered to be low.
  • More studies are needed to understand if and how different animals could be affected by COVID-19.
  • We are still learning about this virus, but it appears that it can spread from people to animals in some situations.
  • People with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 should avoid contact with animals, including pets, livestock, and wildlife
.

Risk of animals spreading SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, to people
Some coronaviruses that infect animals can be spread to humans and then spread between people, but this is rare. This is what happened with SARS-CoV-2, which likely originated in bats. The first reported infections were linked to a live animal market, but the virus is now spreading from person to person.

SARS-CoV-2 spreads mainly from person to person through respiratory droplets from coughing, sneezing, and talking. At this time, there is no evidence that animals play a significant role in spreading the virus that causes COVID-19. Based on the limited information available to date, the risk of animals spreading COVID-19 to people is considered to be low. More studies are needed to understand if and how different animals could be affected by COVID-19.

so the op is disingenuous at best; as for naming it the way he has, he attempts to lay the neglect of the american president all at the feet of china, too, quite ignoring how other countries' handling of the disease was far more effective in stopping so many of their people dying.

I thought the idea was to reduce testing to show a decline in infections.
Or is that not the goal anymore?

I can't keep up.
:(

Hey there you mealy mouthed ignorant piece of shit. Wholly incapable of reading comprehension, aren't you? Well, no surprise there. You have a record of demonstrated ignorance.

Why are you trying to make this a political thread? Hmmm. No president, past, present, or future have a fucking thing to do with the spread of the Wuhan Flu.

Domestic dogs, cats, mink, even a captive tiger have all tested POSITIVE for the wuhan flu. The authorities tell us there "is no evidence" that these animals spread the disease. They ARE implying with that statement that the wuhan flu ONLY spreads to animals from humans but it can't spread back again. How does that work.................EXACTLY? It has been found in the WILD mink population. How did that happen..............EXACTLY? How far through the wild/feral canine, feline, mustelidae populations is the disease going to spread let alone through the domestic population...................EXACTLY?

The fact is, they don't have answers to any of those questions because they've done NO extensive testing re. any of those questions. Could it be that they made unverified/untested statements and are now caught in a trap of their own devise? God knows the "authorities" have already had to back track on their statements more than once (ie. Fauci and the masks).

And finally ending with this. I start a post questioning the thoroughness of the knowledge of the authorities regarding the disease and it's spread. And what do you do? Post QUALIFIED statements (ie "at his time there is no evidence".) made by the very authorities I'm questioning. Oh the irony.

Anyone that refers to covid 19 as a flu cannot be taken seriously when trying to talk about science.

or wuhan flu

ignorance shouts so loudly, when the science is out there telling them they're wrong. the few cases reported are exceptions to the rule and studies continue to be ongoing as to their relevance. to date, it's insignificant. just like the thread starter :)
