Interesting article from Nature.com looking at how vaccines are being ordered and divvied up between countries.

Lets hope the cooperation will push into other infectious diseases like Polio, that they nearly had licked until some countries slipped on their vaccination programs... wars, politics to blame.

Yea, sorry - I kinda figured after I posted that immunity declines over a period of months, so people will still need a vaccination even if they've previously had it. That'll be the next message to put across once vaccinations progress - we're going to need further jabs to stay ahead.

I can see it becoming part of seasonal flu jabs program...

Yes, back to my usual self definitely wouldn't want to have it again though. It's the most ill I've ever been.

The only reason for saying 'Fuck Trump' is the news article I quoted, That is 'Fuck Trump', not fuck USA or the vaccine developers.

Trump's administration said it had enough. Now Trump (and ONLY Trump) is saying I want it all!

As far as FDA approval is concerned, I think they are being more cautious than the UK because there is such resistance in the US to any vaccination.

We have that in the UK as well, not to the same extent, but most people trust our government scientists.
