President Donald Trump has threatened to veto the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) unless the bill includes the repeal of Section 230. S230 is a provision of a 1996 federal law that helps shield a broad range of digital platforms and services from lawsuits over user-created posts on their sites. The NDAA bill has passed congress 59 years in a row. The current proposal includes a 3% pay raise for US troops and authorizes $740 billion in national security programs in the 2021 fiscal year, The Washington Post reports.

All this because he wants Twitter to step censoring hate speech and disinformation.

But, yeah, he loves the military. So much so that he'll stop paying them in 9 days just so he can get his bully on.

Trump knows that his Twitter account will be shut down on January 20, and he wants to be able to sue.

Eliminating 230 is bipartisan, probably should stick your head in a bucket of cold water. Running around with your hair on fire is not a good look. It’s so **ORANGE MAN BAD**

When wasn't Trump using service personnel as some sort of personal bargaining chip?

If a bipartisan issue, explain why he needs to hold soldiers' pay hostage in order to effect change.

So why hasn't it been revoked?

Trump (Private Bonespurs) made it pretty clear he thinks they’re chumps and suckers.

And how many Republicans are standing up to his bullshit? Fascist traitors.

Yes, let's not ever forget who the Republicans were in Congress during this era. Don't ever let them recover from their enabling.

Just what you'd expect from a patriot who regards servicemen/women as losers and suckers.

Politicians have always used soldiers as bargaining chips. Regardless of party.

"Obama signed the NDAA "with grave reservations."

One section says that you can be arrested and held without a lawyer for as long as they want... "as long as they want."

NDAA should be thrown in the trash. Too bad trump doesn't care about that.

Republicans understand their bsse...a bunch of white males incapable of thinking for themselves...so they need disinformation networks to wind them up like the toys they are.

Ask yourself which one is more likely to be a coward and a liar.

Simple.

I believe that Trump's personal doctor reported him in tip-top health and filed and/or released a medical report in which Trump's bone spurs were not indicated.

Bone spurs don't heal with time.
