The last thing that President-elect Joe Biden wants to do is be inundated by crimes committed by the previous administration. Biden is a “worker,” looking forward toward a future that repairs relationships with the international community, fixes regulations, revives government agencies and, hopefully, bring public servants back to fill positions. There’s just one problem, however, Donald Trump.

“Biden and some of his advisers may believe that the best way to close the book on the Trump presidency, with all of its corruption, abuse and mendacity, is simply to forget the past four years,” wrote Lacovara. “In virtually any other presidential succession, this course might be prudent and consistent with our history of peaceful transitions without recrimination, vindictiveness or rummaging around for criminality.”

Trump is in a category by himself. “One need not embark on a malicious hunt to identify serious criminal abuses by Trump and many of his closest aides,” said Lacovara, explaining that the conduct by him and his administration showed a pattern of disregard for public order, “including those embedded in federal criminal statutes.”

President Donald Trump took one minute out of his day on Tuesday to hold a press conference in which he took credit for gains in the stock market, which came after President-elect Joe Biden’s transition was allowed to formally begin.

At his press conference which lasted almost exactly one minute, Trump credited his administration for the Dow Jones Industrial Average trading above 30,000 for the first time.

As reporters shouted questions about Trump’s refusal to concede the 2020 election, the president turned and walked out of the room.

Well, no, seriously (let's get serious). The worst way he's a loser is how many people he unnecessarily and directly killed with his pandemic response. Nothing supersedes Donald Trump as uncaring mass murderer of Americans.

Coming in second has got to be functioning as an espionage asset of the Russians--continuing just this week by intentionally crippling the U.S. mission in the Open Skies program, his actions only serving the desires of Vladimir Putin.

Even after the landslide defeat of Donald Trump, Republicans across the board continue to be terrified by Trump’s disciples. Fear of the Red Hats has always been one of the primary reasons why the rest of Trump’s party has refused to speak out against his ongoing horror show. It’s not the only reason, but it’s one of the more potent ones.

The tragic reality of the Biden years will be this: The Red Hats are going to scream about literally everything anyway. They already are. History has taught us that appeasement only makes the aggressor more aggressive, and trying to unilaterally play nice will only end in unilateral pantsing. In their deluded, brainwashed minds, Biden stole the election from Trump, while professional stooges like Charlie Kirk and Breitbart are already hyping up their fanboys about inevitable “persecutions” that will follow. Ivanka Trump, meanwhile, has expressed outrage over the New York attorney general’s comprehensive investigation into Trump’s alleged financial crimes. Fox News and the other pro-Trump propaganda outlets will link Biden to all of it, whether Biden wants to be linked or not.

Unprecedented times deserve unprecedented accountability. Walking away and burying the past in the past is an excellent way to guarantee another Trump in the future — likely one who’s worse than the first Trump.

Americans tend to respond to strong, unflinching leadership, and tend to condemn weakness and half-measures. So whether it’s the incoming attorney general or a congressional committee or a state and local probe, if the evidence leads to indictments, Democrats should just own it and ignore the shrieking. The Lincoln Project’s Rick Wilson once said, “[Mitch McConnell] doesn’t care about screaming.” The Democrats on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue would do well to employ the same strategy. Hold fast, power through and stop caring about the screaming.

Comedians buy Trump 2024 campaign website — and turn it into a mockery of his election loss

Comics Jason Selvig and Davram Stiefler announced on Twitter Wednesday that they had purchased President Donald Trump’s campaign site for 2024, if he plans on running.

A TikTok video showed DonaldJTrump2024.com, revealing that the gentlemen have already worked to ensure the website listed key phrases like “I lost the 2020 election” with subheadings “Trump Lost”, “Trump is a Loser” and “Trump Lost the Election,” The Guardian reported.

There’s also a banner on the site proclaiming: “Click here to donate to a PAC that has nothing to do with my legal defense team!”

Selvig and Stiefler told Trump that they would hand over the website “if you tweet ‘My name is Donald Trump and I lost the 2020 election by A LOT. I am a loser. SAD!'”

Mystery of the ‘shy’ Trump voter may be solved by looking at this key demographic

President-elect Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election — but it wasn’t the massive blowout projected by most public opinion polls.

In fact, opinion polls underestimated Trump’s final support by between three and four points, just as they did in 2016 when he upset Democratic rival Hillary Clinton to win the presidency.

American Enterprise Institute polling researcher Daniel Cox writes at FiveThirtyEight that Trump had unusually strong support from men who feel disconnected and alienated from society, and are thus far less likely to participate in opinion polls.

“In our pre-election survey on the strength of Americans’ social networks, we found that nearly one in five Americans (17 percent) reported having no one they were close with, marking a 9 percentage point increase from 2013,” he writes. “What’s more, we found that these socially disconnected voters were far more likely to view Trump positively and support his reelection than those with more robust personal networks.”
