Retreads?

Yellen.

Kerry.

Hmmmmm......

Beltway pundits oooh-ing and ahhh-ing over Yellen. Elizabeth Warren gave her full endorsement, so that's a big positive...plus Trump didn't nominate her for another term at the Fed because she was "too short".

Yeah, who would have thought about appointing people with the actual experience to do the jobs?

Qualified and experienced is fine, I'm just not big on retreads. Word is possibly Garland for AG. Yeah, like Mitch'll let that fly.

i hear sighs of relief all over america as they see that, once more, adults who know their shit will be back running the show. life will go on, the dirty flood will recede, the ship will be navigated by experienced sailors through the chaotic waters and into calm.

for any of their faults, when the shit hits the fan you need people capable of dealing with it in charge; and with those same people in place, the shit-hitting-the-fan to plain sailing ratio will be adjusted accordingly.

But you are absolutely idiotic about wearing masks during the pandemic, so flaws have to be taken into consideration in what you are "big" about and not. I'm sure they consult with you before deciding what to do about anything.

More do nothing losers with do nothing loser policies that brought us Trump in the first place. This is where we are. Anything slightly more sophisticated than an anti-science, poop flinging, rabid, right conservative is considered a win.

These are the same corporate bought and paid for career politicians slithering out from their cushy right wing think tank jobs to continue the failed policies that will oppose what the majority of Americans want like stopping endless wars, universal health care, free college, raising minimum wage, legalizing marijuana, police reform, etc.

At a time in history when serious transformative change is needed these appointments will do little to nothing to address the serious problems the country is facing.

Here, have some sour grapes. :)

This is the problem. You think it's about somebody's team winning or losing. I care about actual policies that affect people's lives like having your kids come back from a war zone so fucked in the head you can't even recognize them, or people dying because they can't afford insulin, homeless veterans, crushing student debt, food lines in America, etc.

Will any of these very serious issues get resolved? No. But hey, our team won. Yippee!

.
With the shambles that Trump has left the country in, there really isn't time to bring noobs up to speed and THEN start ameliorating the damage. Another argument in favor or the "retreads" is that you just have to believe that those wonks have been following events very closely and already have corrective measures in mind.

Unlike Trump, Biden really can bring in "all the best people".

He's going to need them.

Here, have another helping of sour grapes. :)

Partisan hacks who will get million dollar book deals while average American's standard of living continues to decline.

But you really don't care about that. Just as long as your favorite celebrity politicians get their dream job it's all good. So what if everyone you know lives with their parents into their 30's and 40's. So what if grandma is cutting her pills in half. So what if every down town in America smells like urine.

The important thing is our team won!

All the best people......yeah....right.

Such a big bunch of sour grapes--not that I read more than the first couple of words. Come on, let it all it. It isn't good to keep all of that crap inside. :)

Not one word of substance in all your replies. Just shaking your pom poms for the home team. It's no wonder the majority of Americans don't bother to vote. They know it's just a glorified beauty contest for the political elites in the dominant parties.

Wouldn’t Biden be a retread too?

His admin has a fair chance of getting more good done than Obama’s.

You're not worth substantive comment. Go soak your head and enjoy your sour grapes. :D

You don't have a substantive comment. If you did you wouldn't be reduced to repeating the same sophomoric comment ad nauseam.
