I had a supervisor once who worked on an assembly line making Air Force planes for General Dynamics in the 1960s in Fort Worth Texas. He said when Kennedy's assassination was announced over the public address system, there was a great cheer...because the factory workers knew LBJ was going to buy more planes to bomb Vietnam.
