Lost my Grandfather today...
We knew it was coming, so did he. I wish I could condense all my thoughts and feelings into something the world could understand. I know I can't, so I'll just hang out here and have a couple cold beers and remember. He gave me a love of old cars, and Elvis Presley. He also gave my oldest daughter the bluest of blue eyes.
As he grew older, I watched him change in the best possible ways. He made more time and he really seemed to hold us all closer. I think it was maybe a poetic understanding of his mortality, of all our mortality.
Anyway... Here's the song. A little Elvis for my Grandpa Fred, and a little metal/punk for me.
