I believe that we need a list of war criminals among our ruling class to turn over to international jurisdiction for criminal prosecution and indictment, something that we can do as part of ratification of the Rome Statute by the United States Senate. This is unlikely to happen, but it’s useful to advocate, anyway.

This should include civil servants and political appointees from the Bush, Obama, and Trump Administrations, but not military personnel. One could even recommend including people from the Clinton Administration for the atrocities of the Kosovo aggression against Serbia, though the Milosevic regime itself was rightfully prosecuted for war crimes of its own.

Actually, Biden was one of the least hawkish people in the Obama Administration. Hillary is far more of a warmonger and war criminal than Joe Biden. She pushed for the illegal war of aggression against Qaddafi in Libya, while Biden resisted it. She recklessly advocated the no fly zone in Syria and worked with Al Qaeda and ISIS to topple Assad. Neither Assad nor Qaddafi were humane rulers, but their real crime in Hillary’s mind was defying Saudi Arabia. Biden is no dove, but he’s a better candidate for Commander in Chief in that sense, not being an arch imperialist like Clinton.

I give praise and credit where due, and in spite of his objective flaws on bankruptcy laws and the drug war, Biden is not the most hawkish Democrat around. And Harris, regardless of her awful prosecutorial record, is at least not a war criminal like Susan Rice. And Harris’s tax bill is solid redistribution stuff.

The ICC is Stalin? It’s not Stalinism to extradite war criminals to face international justice for the war crimes and atrocities they committed while in office, and that goes for all war criminals, regardless of their political affiliation.

All the more reason to let foreign, neutral jurisdictions prosecute rather than American authorities with political axes to grind. It also removes any possibility of capital punishment, which doesn’t exist in The Netherlands.
