Lit has new Hubs now

I noticed that when I search for the tag “a story for my song”, my story from today isn’t on the list, but if I choose “last 7 days” at the search results, it appears. So it’s not at all times but it is in the last 7 days. Not the most logical phenomenon. Supposedly the different indexes are updated at different times, and while they’re not in sync it gets a bit confusing.

Well, I published a new story today and there are some inconsistencies. It doesn’t show on the category new list, neither do others published today, but it does show if I go to “more new stories”. It doesn’t show up in tag search, so I suppose the tag indexes are updated at some not immediate fashion. Also, now it has close to a thousand views and whole of two votes :D I’ve noticed the saving of the vote seems to take a long time lately, and often ends up in error, so maybe that’s why. Or then my readers just give up in disgust halfway through :)

I suspect there a few gremlins in the system that heard it is Halloween this week and have stuck around! I'm receiving notifications that favourites have published new stories, reading and commenting on them and then finding they are taking 24 hours+ to appear in the new stories list. New stories are usually published en masse mid afternoon for me, and yet one day this week it appeared as if nothing had been published.

I'm sure if will sort itself out once Santa's elves start appearing ;-)

It looks like the Hubs work a little different now. I noticed a small change yesterday.

The main page of the Hub shows new stories for 11/11. But if you click "More New Stories" then that list will show the tale end of the 11/11 stories, not the full list.

I haven't checked it out much, but have done so a bit. I have no idea how the "most popular" category listing for a hub is now made up. I checked a few on the list, and they have very little published at all in the area they now are identified as most popular for the category and the number of stories indexed for them isn't the number of category stories they have posted. Again, that observation is based on a limited number of checks so far.
