'E-Written Fairy Tale Anthology'
This is open to all
Nov 20 - Dec 20 (submit after 11/15)

Re-writing our favorite fairy tales with an erotic twist, so we aren't just re-writing, we are E-writing! (E for Erotic)
Turn your favorite bedtime stories into 'bed'time stories!
Rewrite, twist and steam up classic fairy tales.

For this one we will stick to classic fairy tales only, no movies, shows, cartoons, etc. (we'll save that for another one)

Excited about this one and can't wait to get started! Have fun turning classic stories into something worthy of Literotica!

If you want to post what story you are doing so stories aren't repeated, feel free to do so, but I am hoping it won't be a big deal if we overlap a little on stories since we are all such diverse writers! I know grabbing up the easy ones will seem obvious, but let's challenge ourselves to reach a little further to the less obvious fairy tales!

Titles should all include the 'E-Written' before the title. Examples:
E-Written: Jack the Giant Driller
E-Written: Hands All on Gretal
E-Written: Pussy in Boots
(Yes I am having way too much fun with the puns)
You can put the full title in the 'notes to the admin field if it does not fit and it will be applied.

You must include the phrase "E-Written Fairy Tale" in the "Notes to Admin" field so that Lit can find the stories and add them to the challenge.

Let's have fun! -Gabthewriter

Seems like a fun idea, but I think the requirement of having the title read "E-Written" should be eliminated. There's no need for that, and it doesn't sound good. It's not going to be appealing to readers. Contests and events typically do not impose requirements on how the title reads.

I've been working on an erotic version of Snow White that I might submit for this.

Agree with Simon re the title. 'E-Written' is a waste of precious characters.

But this story of yours, Simon... dangerous precedent, innit, giving yourself a deadline? ;)

There's a precedent with the "Amorous Goods" challenge. A polite request to Laurel asking that the full title (IMHO - "A Fairy Tale: XXXXXX") that's placed in the notes field be copied to the story title.

I like the idea, but doubt I could get past panto! Dick Whittington and his Pussy could be an interesting re-write though!

I was planning on proposing this idea, but was waiting for things to slow down a bit between contests and challenges.

My anthology title would have been along the lines of Ribald Tales to pick up on the old Ribald Classics series from Playboy and Fractured Fairy Tales from the Rocky & Bullwinkle Show.

I am currently working on a version of Red Riding Hood! <3
I submitted about having the 'E-Written' added during publishing.

I reread some of these. There is a surprising amount of murder and cannibalism in the source material.

I have a few thousand words already written that I cut from my Christmas Story, change the word minotaur to giants and I have a jack and the giant slayer already half written.

^^^ Even Hansel & Gretel, the witch wants to cook and eat the kids.

Red Riding Hood ... big teeth ?

Fairy Tales can be quite Grimm.

If the tie to the series was reduced to initials, it wouldn't mess up too many titles by making them run over the title length restrictions.

Thinking along the lines of:

"EFT: " - for Enhanced Fairy Tails
"AFT: " - for Adult Fairy Tails
"TEF: " - for Tales of the Erotic Fairyland

So titles would be things like

TEF: Snow Blind White
TEF: Hansel Eats Gretel
TEF: Goldilocks and the Three Furries

I've been meaning to write something along these lines forever. Now I've just got to see if I can settle on a real fairy tale to work with.

This might be dicey but what if the participants aren’t exactly human? Red Riding Hood is a classic fairy tale and you can see how it can veer off into the absolute taboo side. Considering it’s fantasy, making it okay in the end with a handwave is easy to do but would people still be open to reading them?

I suspect the line is somewhere there already- if your wolf can talk and has human-like features, then it's not like going to the zoo and finding a wild animal...

That’s a fair point! I asked this because I wrote a story on reddit for a dirty writing prompt and I set the story in a magical world where the wolf had a curse on him. It felt appropriate and also felt like I was aping Brave lmao. I was considering posting that story but I wanted that clarification about the nature of the genre, if that makes sense.
