It's customary to refer to the projected winner as President-Elect, and enough of the Federal Government apparatus takes that seriously enough to reinforce his Secret Service protection.

I voted for the guy in spite of my own doubts, but even if I had voted for someone else, that wouldn't make a difference. When Obama was elected, I accepted him as President-Elect, despite voting for Bob Barr, the Libertarian. When Trump was elected, I accepted him as President-Elect. Same with Dubya and with Clinton.
