He might also be indicted for his business dealings. Trump should've gone to jail many years ago. Think about this...
Don't you find it strange that a genuine billionaire cannot borrow money from any of the major U.S. banks? Bank of America, Citibank, and all of the rest have cut off his credit. The only bank he can borrow from is Deutsche Bank, the one who financed the Nazis.

If Trump chose to extend clemency to himself it might prove of benefit to Biden.

Biden could look very grave and serious, claim it is unprecedented, but let the clemency stand. He will then not appear vindictive to Trump supporters. On the other hand he will not let Trump off like Ford did for Nixon.

Biden could then have the unexpurgated edition of the Mueller report published. That'd screw a few reputations satisfactorily.

There are a few things Biden could do with some sort of investigative commission - entirely independent of course but a body which could constantly be tying the GOP back to Trumps corruption for the next several years. Biden himself should keep his distance but realpolitik suggests that the D's have the opportunity to paint the R's as the party of corruption for years.

Even if it is Constitutional any benefit of a self pardon would expire with his presidency on January 20, 2021. He can pardon himself all he wants but until specific charges are brought against him he is pardoning himself for unspecified crimes or is he going to admit to specific crimes and then pardon himself? Either way, pardon or not, he can still be charged and indicted and because his pardon was preemptive it will mean that there will be no question of double jeopardy when he is charged and by way of his pardon he will have already plead guilty.

No, the president can't pardon himself. Nixon wanted to, but his Dept. of Justice told him it would not be legal. End of story. Trump is screwed.
