A daily tracking poll of President Donald Trump's job approval released Friday showed an eye-popping surge in approval for Trump among black voters.

According to Rasmussen Reports, Trump's approval among black likely voters surged this week from 25% on Monday to 46% by the end of the week on Friday.

According to the Real Clear Politics average of polls, Trump's job performance is an average 9.5 points underwater, 44.4% approve to 53.9% disapprove. Recent polls on Trump's approval other than Rasmussen have Trump at minus 9 points (Economist/YouGov), minus 16 points (Reuters/Ipsos), minus 14 points (Quinnipiac), and minus 12 points (Politico/Morning Consult).

It is highly unlikely that Trump's approval among black likely voters managed to increase 20 points in just five days, especially when no other polls show a similar trend.

In a word, yes. Never underestimate just how much effort the right has put into convincing themselves that they are the real civil rights heroes and Democrats are the real racists. It would be funny if not for the fact that these are voters we're talking about.

Actually gathering data to create a poll takes time and money. Rasmussen has discovered that it's more profitable to find out what the RNC wants to hear and then write it up and send it back with the invoice.

Hip-hop radio host Charlamagne The God, whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey, explained this week why black voters are drawn to President Donald Trump.

McKelvey's revealing explanation came after rapper Ice Cube partnered with the Trump campaign to promote his "Contract with Black America," his socio-economic plan to help lift black Americans. According to Cube, both Trump and Joe Biden reached out to him, but only the Trump campaign made changes to their platform after meeting with Cube; Biden's camp said they would consider Cube's plan only after the election.

CNN host Don Lemon asked McKelvey during an interview on Tuesday why "prominent black men" are supporting Trump or working with him.

McKelvey explained that Trump is winning the support of black men because he is actually talking with them, instead of simply assuming he has their support, as the Democratic Party is accused of doing.

CNN’s Van Jones praised President Trump’s work with the black community during a panel discussion on the network Friday.

Anchor Jake Tapper criticized Trump for remarks he made during the final debate on Thursday when he said he has “done more” for black Americans than any other president with the “possible exception of Abraham Lincoln,” according to Fox News.

However, Jones then named several things Trump has accomplished for the black community.

“I think it’s really unfortunate because Donald Trump, and I get beat up by liberals every time I say it but I keep saying it, he has done good stuff for the black community,” he continued:
