Amorous Goods, A Literotica Anthology Series

In television and movies, an anthology series consists of multiple stories written by different authors using a common theme or core story concept. This will be the goal here, for authors to write their own original stories using the basic premise outlined below. Authors should create and develop their own characters as customers of the store, the objects involved and the effect they have on the characters while retaining some contact with the store and the main characters who run it.

Stories may also feature the main characters and the business itself as described and named in the Story Ideas thread.

The general concept uses the structure of the TV show "Friday the 13th, The Series" which spawned the ideas for other shows such as 'Buffy, The Vampire Slayer' and 'Warehouse 13', among others. Authors who choose to participate should familiarize themselves with the series Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday...th:_The_Series

Story titles should be formatted as 'Amorous Goods: (custom story title)' to help keep within the concept and help readers find connected stories. The following Prologue or a close variation should also be included at the beginning of each story submission for the same reason:

----------------

Prologue:

A lifelong collector of goods and objects from far and wide has passed and left the entire collection and the business built around them to the only remaining relative, a niece on a career path of her own. Vikki has taken on the task of administering the estate and liquidating the business and collection. However, she has come to find out that many of the goods have been cursed or enchanted with amorous powers that affect those who encounter them. These are the stories of some of those encounters with objects found at Amorous Goods.

-----------------------

If you choose to alter the above, be sure to include a similar last line mentioning the store name.

Authors can choose any Literotica category, just as they would with any other submission. While there are no real rules outside of Literotica's general rules for submissions, I'd rather not see them get too far into horror and gore or scream queen type content. Preference would be more towards light horror with erotic or comedic overtones. Think of films like 'High Spirits' if you deal with hauntings or ghosts for example. There should be elements of mystery and some unexpected turns.

There is an ongoing thread in the Story Ideas forum with further information and concept development that can be considered a story runner: https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1527427 Discussion can be carried out and questions posed there. There are a few issues to be worked out and a main character or two that need to be developed if anyone cares to volunteer.

Open to all authors provided they read and understand the concept.

Admin requests that writers include the phrase "AMOROUS GOODS" in the "Notes to Admin" field so that they can find the stories and add them to the challenge.

Another thing to keep in mind is that there is a Halloween story contest happening in October. Authors can enter their Amorous Goods tale in both the Halloween contest AND the Amorous Good anthology. Since the challenge is not a contest, there's no conflict.

The Story Ideas thread linked above is open and active for discussion. Authors can begin working on their stories as soon as they have time, but submissions will have to wait until October to be eligible for the Halloween Contest. I intend for this anthology to be open ended, so stories can be added afterwards also.

This sounds a bit more like Needful Things than Friday the 13th (If I'm understanding you right.}

There's a store with all these objects...The niece is who the patrons will deal with in buying an object...or are these stories she is hearing about them?

The story is written from the POV of one of the patrons and what happens when they pick something out?

And this should have some elements of horror? Not hardcore, but maybe a Night Gallery vibe(Serling's other less talked about show.)

Do I have that right?

That's another similar possibility.

Both. The Story Ideas thread explores that area.

Yes. Or it could be from the POV of Nikki and Dylan as they explore or get drawn into any encounter.

Night Gallery is another good example as is Spielberg's Amazing Stories.

Questions, thoughts or ideas can be posted here or in the Story Ideas thread: https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1527427 .

We still need to build the characters of the original collector who is deceased and the older main character and to expand on the business.

If you create a customer character and are willing to let others use it, post a name and general outline in either of these threads.

Same goes for a room in the building.

I think this is interesting, and even have an idea percolating (which hasn't happened in a couple of months). I was wondering about a description of the store, and the characters of the owner.

The idea I have is about a customer, so the owners would be minor characters.

Have we started sketching the store, etc?

Thanks, jaFO, for the great idea, and the long lead time...

It's just a start. Hopefully others will chime in and build on it. I'm not sure how much more I'll be able to contribute vs. just trying to guide and see how it all grows.

I have a half-written story that could easily be adapted to this concept. It is about an ancient idol housing a demon. By a strange coincidence, there is a character named Viki, short for Vikana. She is a witch who owns a bookstore and rents out her back room to a fortune teller.
I already have two stories up about this character, Ritual, in which she becomes a goddess, and We Witch You a Merry Christmas, when she pimps her fortune teller to Santa Claus.

Still happening?

Hi, all. Saw this in July, thought it a good idea, let it percolate.
Now, a month later, I've posted a few entries to the companion Story Idea thread. http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1527427&highlight=Amorous+Goods&page=4

I'm pressing ahead with Uncle Ludwig Freitag as the porn collector who bequeaths a museum/shop/bordello to distant young relatives who he hopes will keep things going.
Vikki Friday as a recently unemployed archivist who should be able to handle getting the collection and museum into professional shape.
Her cousin Dylan as the co-inheritor. A business type who could handle the financial side of things.
Deciding not to be porn purveyor and quasi-Madame, Vikki convinces Dylan to start liquidating and a number of items go out the door.
Then Morgana Delacroix comes in to ruin things. I have not defined her as a relative, but that is possible. She is the spooky older mystic/witch/occultist/illuminati that is battling the evil of cursed objects and shows the young cousins that they're releasing evil into the world by giving up control of the bewitched/cursed items.
The three go into recovery mode.
They can't close Amorous Goods, because they need income while doing recovery, so Vikki goes into really cataloging what they have and determining if there's a viable historical collection to support a respectable museum.
Morgana helps determine if items are safe to sell or if they should be locked up.
Dylan keeps the underlying porn shop open. And despite Vikki's personal distaste, they're honoring the room rental contracts their uncle had in place with specialized prostitutes (high end, dominatrix, role play, whatever another author wants) and swingers' clubs.

Hi, again. Here are some character/location details I've written into the story I am writing.
Louis Freitag. obvious play on Lewis Vendredi from source series. Distant Uncle Louis makes a flashback appearance in my story. Guiding a swing party at the Amorous Inn (the upper stories of the Amorous Goods mansion). He is old, but how old? Could be 60s or 70s. He's still tall, 6'1", and agile and active when we see him. He's got an old man's bony ass, but still sports 8+ inches of active meat. He's debonair and charming, but certainly in control.
Vikki Friday. Her branch of the family Americanized the name when they emigrated. Indeterminate age, but likely 25-30 based on years of education and experience. She is an archivist, which means a Bachelor's Degree followed by Grad School. Just finished a project archiving a politician's papers, but it was on a grant, so she's now unemployed. I give no physical description, but there's certainly an expectation of beauty and/or fitness as jaF0 said. She's unattached right now, but sexually interested. In fact, she stumbles across some enchanted dildoes in the AG collection and has a good time.
Dylan. No physical description, specific age, or even last name from me. If he is indeed a cousin by marriage, then his wife's name (in my story) is Hazel. But there's only one, throw-away mention of her.
The mentor as I see her is not necessarily a relative; at least I haven't made her one. Her name is Morgana Delacroix (a play on the Arthurian witch Morgan le Fay and a Satan hunter (Delacroix meansm of the Cross). She's like Catherine Zeta-Jones. You know she has to be in her 40s or 50s but you can't really tell and you'd fuck her in a heart beat regardless. I see her as having gained some of her insights into the world of enchanted erotica from personal experience.

I described how I see the AG mansion in another post on the other thread. One addition, however, is below ground. The mansion has a full basement that Ludwig used for receiving, preparing and storing museum and shop displays. It has shelves of papers and artifacts that Vikki is combing through.
There is also a sub-basement which holds only a massive walk-in vault, like an old bank vault, where they lock away the most dangerous objects.

Hope this falls within the anthology's image and of course anyone is free to use these elements if they fit in your story.

Okay, have to correct my own post. Doh!
Ludwig, not Louis Freitag.
Dylan is not married after all. For some reason I though it he was a "cousin by marriage" it meant he was married to Vikki's cousine, ergo, Hazel. But I think the real intent is that he's only related by marriage (of someone else) and not by blood. But knowing each other as kids, they just consider each other as cousins.
In this Literotica world I like that because it allows a better option of sexual tension between the three AG characters: Vikki, Dylan and Morgana. Dealing with all the mystical amorous goods, why wouldn't they face the AG influence on their libidos and judgment, just like anyone else who got their hands on an AG item?

I'm going to write Morgana as somebody they hired to remove the curses/purify items for customers unhappy with the results, among other things.

I have a completed story for this invitation ready to go.

Mine is up now. Anyone else posted theirs yet?

Still working on mine... but I usually work on more than one at a time, Iost my job, so I have some time on my hands. Maybe I should submit the first chapter.

I think the problem is that the collection hasn't been collected yet. This contest thread seems to be eerily silent.

It would be nice if there was a link to the collection, just as a reference.

I've got a time stop idea, but I'd like to be sure the whole thing fitted with the other stories without searching.

I'm guessing there would be, if there was something to reference, but it isn't available yet.

I've read a few of these stories now, and I'd say just go ahead. Whatever it is you have, I'm sure it'll fit in just fine :)

This is what's posted so far. The complete list will be linked after the 31st.

I'm thinking of asking for it to be a continuing series after that date though if there's enough interest.

Looks like a random chapter of a random story snuck in the list. I've got 16 pages so far, almost done. Was thinking of submitting it as individual chapters, but I might just submit the whole file itself.
