If you want economic growth, you need to have consumers consuming. That means millions of Americans have to have disposable income with which to buy American products and services.

However, the Republicans don't want the American People to be paid a living wage. They're constantly fight to get rid of labor unions, the minimum wage, cost of living adjustments, social security and other things that put money into the pockets of the American People.

If the American People are always broke and being paid starvation wages, they can't go out and buy things. And a consumer-driven economy without consumers is going to fail. Economic growth will hover around 0.00%. The American workers need to be paid a living wage if you want economic growth. That's economics 101.
