They're out in force! Mine started at 4.8 from around 60 readers, down to 4.7 yesterday from 150 odd and now 4.67 from 186! I don't think I've read many high scoring stories at all yet in the comp which has surprised me as I've read many that I thought were great.

I've been entering the themed contests at Lit. for fourteen years. If anything the maneuvering by bogus down and up votes seems to have tamed down a bit over the years. It's always been at a higher level than in the regular story file, but my experience is that a story in one of the contests tends to have more readers and a higher rating in the end (you really have to wait for the final sweep before hyperventilating over the ratings) than those posted to the regular file. So, I keep entering the contests. I don't do it with the thought of winning, although I've placed a couple of times.

Maybe it's a bad title or a bad short description or just Erotic Horror not generating enough views and love.
