My values haven't changed from before this claimed "brain fucked" event occurred. My lifestyle hasn't changed either. Nor my needs/wants/desires.

OTOH, there is a segment of society which HAS changed. Perhaps that change signals that you are correct. But only regarding those with weak minds to begin with.
