Everyday is a adventure , if you approach it that way. Things we learned yesterday.

1. It's really easy to make a bio and start a favorites list on the on the other side of the lit site. * Authors

2. To go back in to edit , not so easy.

3. Pics are still a work in progress.

4. There are totally differant ebbs and flows in the differant sections of the site. Entering through the new posts entrance to view a thread that's getting attention or active if you will , sometimes it helps to see where that thread is.

5. The ladies that make thier *own threads , are interesting. It's like their nest , or virtual she shed. Depending on their online persona 's most are a very interesting thread read. Kudos ladies :rose:

Does commenting in this thread increase my inbox capacity?

It counts towards your total posts, which increases your message space in a series of steps as you reach certain thresholds. Maximum is 750, but there is a "download a text dump" feature so that you can keep a library of old favourites.

Hiya, and I’m glad I found this thread, thanks for starting it.
I’ve discovered some items as you’ve stated ...between the 2 sites and have played around adding you tube links, comments and other stuff.

Good morning any lurkers , fellow newbies and all the fun creative people who might stop by fora peek.

@ world builder thank we didn't know that yet , ours is at 250 , but we delete a lot of the messages , your post is good information to know and share with others.

@ mebella , * thanks for stopping by , and dropping a post in one of the other threads . :rose: do stop by often

Yesterday was a fun day , the Negan avatar is a fun Saturday fashion choice for the page.

**page defined as our or your " site account , first visual impression *avatar , basically your persona here or on any online media you might use. , **

If you read this and say to yourself , " I'm the same online as I am in person yadda , yadda, yadda ....go ahead and keep lieing to yourself. Your not !! Period , it's not a bad thing either , manners and class never go out of style and first impressions do matter.

But cliques suck , uppity old broads , and soccer moms looking for a " cheap thrill from thirsty single males are a dime dozen and boring.

She -Shed lit feline users rock , kudos ladies :rose: those above users envy your courage to get sum and be women that are she -bosses.

Basically , if you are a newbie , don't fall into the trap of thinking you can't be original , think differant then the ebb and flow , start new threads , as many as you please too. Post whenever and wherever you want to.

Fuck it , skip in line , leave the door open , howl at the moon if you want to. This isn't your fake book account , it's probably your little secret in the real world. I'm sure those old broads and soccer moms , don't talk about their Literotica account conversations at church this morning or to their spouses in most causes.

Or lurk  :D do what ever floats your boat , be a Viking

Have fun :rose: and don't forget to rate the authors and leave feed back on the other side of the site for them.

Educated

I just have to say, already I've been educated!

I've been on years and never actually wanted a picture so it might explain my lack of knowledge, but i didn't know you had to have 100 to get one!

I might try now! :p

You're right. It's easy to get caught up in the flow of things, and I guess there's nothing wrong with that. But it does pay to be a little bit original and to think outside the box.

Being over the 100 post mark , guess I'm not a newbie . That being said I like your style and think I'll visit this thread often .Everything you suggested is good advice.

Not a newbie. But I learned quickly that sometimes when you post photos from your phone, they show up sideways. Like your new avatar. ;)

Not a soccer mom, either. Or part of a clique. Just someone who comes here for fun, and not to be judged.

Edit 10/22/2020

Posting a photo using a iPhone and making it not show sideways when putting it as a avatar or in your profile. It’s a simple fix, just take it into the phone’s edit features make any kind of edit ( a simple cropping works fine.) Once you save the edit it will auto correct to show as portrait rather then landscape when posting here.

Yawn .....

Good morning , newbies , kind people , creative posters , fun lurkers with the occasional post , really fun PM -ur's , lurkers from the other side that don't have accounts and therefore can't post.

Those wonderful Shed-Shed ladies of Literotica
The Mer-people tribe
The breakfast club-ur's too

And everyone else , with exceptions

What we learned yesterday.

It's a international site , time zones matter , we have meet some very interesting fun Brits , the language and slang terms and everyday phrases we use are differant. . The Brits speak so elegant and proper , we take lots of short cuts and add colorful words via slang text and regional word terms. It's bollocks not bullocks , verbiage means cluttering to them , to us /me anyway it means conversation with free flowing words.

As Finger says, we come here from all over the world and cultures/vocabulary may differ from what you're used to. The other side of that coin is that Lit, especially the Playground, is open 24 hours a day - even when you may think it's the middle of the night and no one will be awake.

What we learned yesterday.

Lots of threads are wash , rinse , repeat if you only enter threads thru your
" subscribed or user CP tab. If you post in a thread any thread the first time it goes into that Que until you unsubscribe to it.

Entering thru the * new posts is like walking into a *mall instead of a boutique inside of a mall.

Authors are posters too. What we have found interesting is it's easy to get caught in a trap of ewww or egnore if the word *incest is in their catalogue of work. Neither of us has any interest in reading anything in that catatgorie , but we also don't know what any of those works are , because we have turned a blind eye to it.

Authors write , that's what they do , it's fiction. What comes out of their minds they are sharing , without authors , there's no Literotica . you have the choice to engage in the threads with them or not . Free will , but just flat out egnoring or shunning anyone is a dick move.......just saying *cheaters are way worst then some author that writes about a taboo subject on a author based site.

That has nothing to do with posting on boards . The author side and the forum are two separate worlds.

Have a great day Newbies , enjoy the Mall :rose:

Happy hour information hors d' oeuvre
.
How to create a bio

1. Go the lit dot com , login in there. Not in the forums.

2. It's under the chat button.

3. This is the authors side of the site, the mothership
If you will.

4. Fill in the blanks , you aren't required to be a author or summit a story to login in there.

5. You can also edit your bio from there.

Footnote : you might need to have a posting history of 100 posts or more. Not sure about that yet.

Also you can just copy and paste that link in your signature page if you want to. That hyperlinks the two sites and shows the authors you have read or favorited.

Once you click on the hyperlink it opens in a seprate tab. Simply click out of it like you would a picture and you will be back to where you clicked in the first place. Like Dorothy ,

Typed using our Keep It simple as possiable explaination font :D

What we have learned to share since the last happy hour. Editing posts is very simple , and honestly if a lurker is hesitant to post thinking bout spelling errors or anything along those lines. For-get-about-it .....get in the game. You can always edit mistakes.

Another tip about where to start , where to post. What threads do U possibly feel like you might fit in with .Try looking at other active posters posting history. It's surprising what threads that you will see that you might not ever see looking in the new posts section only. The time zones make a world of difference as far as the active threads that people post in. Fine your lane , as the saying goes.

Or ......just enjoy your view there lurking

Best of luck have fun.

What we learned yesterday : Lurkers out number non -lurkers , there's several versions of said lurkers.

1. The silent lurkers ----> doesn't have a username or account. Can't post a comment or PM if they wanted.

2. The reserved lurker --------> has a account , might drop a comment here or there , but has bountries about how much they are willing to share in a online forum.

3. The totally *thirsty slut lurker -----> drops a sex PM at will , there are male and female versions.

4. The question asker lurker -------> there're curious creatures , not willing to ask a question in a thread , but will drop a PM.

5. The avid reader lurker -------> they just like to read...nothing more ...nothing less .

All lurkers matter :D. Lurk on with Yo bad self.

A very interesting thought worth sharing. Is the fact that if U a *newbie took the trouble to open a active account with posting privileges. The odds of it being libito driven is very high. There's no sense in denying it , to yourselves or anyone else. As we have explored the site , and its ebb and flow. There is something for everyone , it's pretty amazing actually. The visual pictures in the fetish and sexual central threads are amazing. Every possible scenario of sexual fantasy is there. It reminds of way back in the day before the Internet and hustler magazine and their girl next door section. That *Realness, and not just models or perfect bodies.

She -sheds with real people interacting with us , the viewing audience , via posts. How cool,is that. There are threads with talented men as well doing the same thing for the newbie ladies.

LGBT -Q is inside here to , and the authors with hyperlinks to their works is a total bonus.

The one thing that isn't spoken out loud as much as it probably should be , ( strictly as a observation ) is honesty is the best policy. This is just as much a hook up site as it is a fantasy role play site. Do yourself a favor and make a small signature panel bio. Your age , gender , what pushes your buttons , ect.

All those things will help you find " your lane " a lot faster then being invisible , and unapproachable . Remember the saying every pot has its own lid. They fit each other and come in all shapes and sizes. It's so true , sexless marriages are a real thing so is fantasy and so is a good old fashion fuck buddy.

Your libito brought you here , cause it's a smorgasbord of sex , that's pretty awesome if you think about.

Get sum.
