Feedback?

Hello guys and gals,

I am a bit baffled about the views I got for my poems. The last one, RENDEZVOUS, received more views than my previous most viewed, KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE. The latter was present on this forum for about one month earlier so you would expect it never to be surpassed in viewership.

Another thing which is a bit strange is the reluctance to give feedback. A lot of people view them but ALMOST no one either comments or uses stars.

Correct, on the whole it's a feedback low site. A common metric is one in a hundred Views will leave a Vote, one in a thousand will leave a comment. If you do better than that, comments wise, it's because your story is very good or very bad. If you're in the middle of the bell curve, you 'll mostly get silence.

The majority of readers don't even come in here, they're from the General Board with their own circles of mutual voting and commenting. As a matter of interest do you comment/vote on other people's poems? Show them you're out there reading and voting? I can't recall you doing so on any of mine. Do you join in on any of the threads here? Comment on those that do? Unless you're outstanding no-one is going to know who you are except for someone who only comes in here to promote their own stuff.

I can only agree, the good ole 'Treat the people like you wanna be treated yourself' is good hint, besides the 'make good art'.

No, I only post my poems and don't read the work of other people. If I would do such things then it wouldn't be too hard for me to give my two cents about a story/poem in question as it takes very little time to do so.
