I’ve discovered that I love sucking cock, but I’m worried about disease. What safe sex precautions do you take, whether giving or receiving?

Anal sex isn’t the problem; that’s what condoms are for. But condoms don’t seem a very good answer when giving a blowjob. So what do you do?

Maybe you don’t take any precautions. If not, why not? And do you swallow?

I realize, of course, that no sex is the only truly safe sex. But if I wanted to be celibate, I probably wouldn’t be reading Literotica.

I understand that it is very risky, but I go with the 'honor' system. I try to believe that somewhere in this mess of humanity that we can be honest with each other about being safe and free from disease.

I also try to stick with other married men, who tend to be just as worried about bringing something home that is unwanted. Having said that, I have broken the married guideline, more than once.

Somewhere along the way, I have read that the risk of transmission of disease is much lower for oral sex. Not sure how true it is, but I want to believe it, because I do swallow. Every time.

Same here, I always swallow (unless I want to make a statement by showing myself off with cum on my face). The risk is low, and it's generally married men who go for trannies. Using any type of protection for sucking cocks would remove the appeal for me.

Look for a steady relationship, where you converse and reach a level of trust before oral sex. Have protected anal sex first, see how careful and vigilant they are about protecting you and themselves. Find out if they suck cock, and therefore have greater risk (I seem to recall reading years ago that it's possible to get AIDS and STDs from getting your cock sucked by a diseased person, but that seems illogical). I also agree with the married man idea, but if they're "getting around," there's danger there too. And although I think AIDS is harder to get from oral sex, other STDs are easy to get.

yea I have long wanted to suck cock but worry about how safe it is. it is one of the reasons i havent yet.
It's not ideal but when I do try it i think i will suck him with a condom first time or 2 until there is more comfort and trust. But seems a complete waste, like having a ferrari that you can only drive at 20 mph

I know this is good advice, but I'm not looking for a relationship. I'm already married and haven't told my wife (she absolutely would not understand). I still want cock; knowing how to get it safely is a problem.

I believe that the OP meant to find ONE guy to fool around with, not sucking a different guy each time you get horny.

Nope, I'm the OP, and I'm not looking for any kind of relationship. That certainly complicates the safety issue, but I'm hoping somebody with more experience has a way of dealing with my situation.

As one witty guy put it, “I’d rather suck 1 guy a hundred times, then 100 guys once”.

I’ve stuck with married guys, with one exception. The exception was a gay man who was in a long term relationship with another guy. I met both of them, but only had oral with one of them...and in return got the most awesome (deep throat) blow job EVER! lol

There is a lot of evidence that oral sex poses minimal disease risk, but minimal is of course not zero.

The right answer to this question is to act and behave like prostitutes do when they do a blowjob. They routinely put a condom on the guy. Absolute best sloppy deep throat blowjob I ever had was from a whore. She really, really knew her stuff, and that condom wasn't in the way.

CuriousTXguy is correct, but also a trusted steady partner helps a lot. Other than that or a condom, and this goes whether you go down on guys or women. NO open sores on lips or in the mouth. Brush your teeth daily, but not just before givng head. You don't want the possiblity of bleeding gums. Do not have gingivitus, in other words a very healthy mouth and gums.

Next, about sallowing. Digestive acids starting with saliva have been shown to kill a lot of the germs or virus that maybe passed and stomach acid definitely kills it. Here is the "but", no ulcers or lesions in the esophagus or stomach!

It is true that oral sex is the least risky, but as stated above that does not mean zero. Anal sex is the biggest risk. Condoms can tear and especially during anal se as often lubrication gets used up if it is used at all. Saliva is NOT lubrication. Last, there is now medication that can be taken before the sex that helps prevent HIV and some other STD's. For some reason I can't think of it's name at the moment, but you can easily Google it. Good luck and enjoy. :D I do. :D

I been telling motherfuckers the same thing for years and no one believes what I'm saying, aw hell, whachagonado?

The OP in this case when you quoted their reply is the person who replied to you and you posted a "rebuttal" to their advice. That would be SuperSissy. I didn't get the impression she wanted you to leave your wife and start a new family (relationship) but maybe I am getting ahead of myself.

Personally, when you start a reply with the term "nope" I sort of check out, so good luck you and hopefully stay safe!

I don't doubt what you, Curious, Willy, etc. say about having a steady partner. It makes perfect sense.

But even if I were willing to establish a relationship, there's still the problem of how to get there. I.e., finding a steady still starts with a first encounter, and I don't already know a likely candidate. Such a person is probably out there, but I haven't a clue who. Gay sex is not a hot topic within my current social circle, meaning any hookups in the near future will most likely be somewhat random.

So everybody's advice is appreciated.

Meanwhile, I find curious the lack of information in the public realm. Yes, there's plenty of information about anal. And most the porn I've read and watched seems to emphasize safe anal. But good luck finding a story or video where the participants wear condoms for blowjobs.

I know, porn is not reality. I just find it odd when a video starts with a bareback blowjob, then the condoms come out for the anal.

When I sucked dick I often used a condom. The first time I did it as an adult I didn't and although it was hot as fuck, I was a bit freaked out after for a few weeks due to the risk factor.

After that I more often wrapped it, especially the big ones as more likely I'd get a cut in my mouth.

If you put a bit of lube on cock first then wrap it, there is a bit more slide when you jerk and suck so it more pleasurable for the cock a d you

. The peace of mind also enabled me to let loose a bit more and get into it without fear. My hottest experiences except for first time were with wrapped BIG dicks

Oral is a low risk for HIV, but higher risk for things like Hep B and various herpes viruses, some of which can cause a range of cancers. Strongly recommend condoms, regular testing, and getting vaccinated for what you can (Hep B and Gardasil for starters).

I am not very experienced, the extent is sucking a married friend I have known for several years but never connected on that level until lately.

(It's a bit long, but this is an important discussion.)

HIV

Risk of infection from oral sex:

* Giving oral sex on the penis of a partner with HIV can result in getting HIV. The risk of infection is lower than the risks from vaginal or anal sex.

*Giving oral sex on the anus of a partner with HIV may result in getting HIV. There are few reports of transmission from this type of oral sex.
*Getting oral sex on the penis from a partner with HIV may result in getting HIV. This risk is thought to be very low, and has not been well studied.
*Getting oral sex on the vagina from a partner with HIV might result in getting HIV. This risk is thought to be extremely low, and has not been well studied.
*Getting oral sex on the anus from a partner with HIV might result in getting HIV. There are few reports of transmission from this type of oral sex.

*Another important factor that affects risk of HIV spread is the virus level (i.e., viral load) in an infected partner’s blood and other body fluids at the time of the sexual encounter. An undetectable HIV viral load eliminates the risk of spreading HIV from oral sex.

The only really safe sex is to selfsuck.😉

If it were just that easy  But, this thing about safety circles back around to old fashioned friendship — a person you can trust with your life. And of course, that's not always that easy either.

Tests and screenings are only good until the person has unprotected sex with an infected person. I doubt many people get tested often enough for it to be foolproof. So, find a guy you like and treat him real nice — maybe hang on all though life...
