I say this with all kindness and empathy...

WAKE UP!

As a life long independent, currently a registered Republican (long story and no I didn't vote for Trump) and a Democratic prior for a shirt stint... It is time to wake up and wonder how Dems ended up in this situation. Hmmm?

I'm interested in hearing from you about how you think it came to this, how this hack and bumbler(amateur) got into the position of having the most consequencial impact on the Scotus and the coming legal judgements that could last for the next half century?

I have my own opinion, and I'll save it for later. I'm interested in what other folks are thinking.

I'm thinking you didn't notice that all the other threads like this have been swept off the GB and into the refuse pile known as the Politics Board.

Keep the politics in the political board, cocksucker.

Asshole!!!

Simple. The Bernie supporters made a choice to not support the nominee.

They do and support things the majority do not want or like.

They get so convinced that they are so right about the above they tell the world what they are going to do when they get into office.

Even some of them say OH HELL NO!

I am not voting for that I have to live here!

Then why is Rory's post mocking the plight of young men who are romantically struggling and equating them with "terrorists" still on the front page?

^^^As if filibustering every one of Obama's judicial nominations was not the first cause.

If the Dems take over the Senate, good total riddance to the filibuster. The Senate is a glorified House of Lords.

Also, let Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia weigh in on that floor.

The butthurt is palpable, but you did it to yourself.

Oh, and you'll need a constitutional amendment to make DC a state.

Trump has never broken 50% popularity.

The rethugs suffered the most crushing loss in Congress in 25+ years. They lost the House.

The current polls are notably stable.

There is not the slightest hope for a Trump wave.

Any Democrat that thinks Schumer and the Democrats wouldnt be doing the same thing if the situations were reversed is lying to themselves and they know it. Let me remind them about Democrats including Obama DEMANDING a vote on Garland before the last election. ALL of them did!

I got news for some of you snowflakes and political pantywastes. You better sit down first though because its gonna shock you.

Political parties are purely partisan. And as such they are also habitually hypocritical. In fact, the ONLY thing you can count on in a political party is their partisanship and hypocrisy. If you think its only the other party that is partisan and hypocritical then you are that stupid rat that ate the cheese.

You say. "This is bad! We can't have this!" Oh yeah? Look in a mirror! How many times have you criticized the other side for something your side has already done. And how many times have you excused behavior on your side while screaming about it when the other side does it? Dont lie... you KNOW you have. So guess what? Our politicians are just like us!

GROW UP!

^^^Ahh, yes. There are "very fine people on both sides. Both sides!"

Let's be fair and balanced: Facts need to be balanced with alternative facts. Equal time for oligarchy!!!

Well, because that long before the election, there was no reason why there couldn't be a vote. This wasn't about an up or down vote. This was about even accepting a nomination.

Beyond that, no one can say the Democrats (or even anyone else) would be just as guilty as the Republicans being sleazebags about something--not until they actually do it. You are just partisan projecting to deflect from sleazy actual activity by the Republicans.

That's the prerogative of the Senate.

Awwww someone doesn't like democracy and apparently didn't learn that changing the rules will always come back to bite you in the ass.

Also, let Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia weigh in on that floor.

Why? They aren't states, they don't get a say so in the matter.

Yes it is. :D

Trump has never broken 50% popularity.

So? He won before and he'll win again.

The rethugs suffered the most crushing loss in Congress in 25+ years. They lost the House.

LOL...that must be why your side is doing all the teeth gnashing.

The current polls are notably stable.

There is not the slightest hope for a Trump wave.

LOL keep telling yourself that, riot some more!!! :D

Excuse Number #1,000,000 for why Republicans are lying hypocritical scum.

Since they didn't get it, surely you'd agree that fair's fair. I mean, if eight months before the election was too soon, you can't possibly really think 45 days before isn't.

We dont have to guess. We have 2016 to prove my point.

Interesting that you assume that the GOP is hte party of sleeze. Who else but Democrats target minorities with strippers. https://twitter.com/samanthamarika1/status/1308537415749890048?s=21
