GOP party leader worries Trump will ‘say something dumb” and ‘screw up’ replacing Ginsburg

In a deep dive into how the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will impact the upcoming November election, one former high-ranking Republican executive admitted that there is a danger that Donald Trump will “say something dumb” about the situation that will not only impact getting a replacement on the high court but also hurt his diminishing chances of remaining in the Oval Office.

Speaking with Politico, Brandon Scholz, a former executive director of the Wisconsin Republican Party, said the president’s inner circle will have their work cut out for them keeping the president from making the Republicans’ job ahead of them more difficult.

“He still has the possibility to screw things up and say something dumb. Who knows tomorrow what he’ll say and do and just let all the air out of the balloon,” Scholz explained. “His campaign needs this. He needs this. It’s a game changer. There aren’t too many game changers like this around.”

All eyes are on Ms Lindsey, as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee his is the first move to advance a Trump nomination! Which Ms Lindsey will show up? THe 2016 anti-Trumper or the boot kissing toady?

All eyes on Lindsey Graham after passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Ricin package intercepted by law enforcement was addressed directly to Trump: report

On Saturday, CNN reported that a package containing the poison ricin, intercepted by law enforcement earlier in the week, was addressed directly to President Donald Trump.

“Two tests were done to confirm the presence of ricin. All mail for the White House is sorted and screened at an offsite facility before reaching the White House,” reported Evan Perez. “The FBI and Secret Service are investigating the matter.”

Ricin is a lethal poison derived from castor beans which is commonly used as a chemical weapon in terrorist attacks. Exposure to trace amounts of it can cause internal bleeding and multiple organ failure.

Iran Guards vow Suleimani revenge will target only ‘those involved’

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards chief said Saturday that Tehran will avenge the US killing of its top commander General Qasem Soleimani by targeting only those involved, in an “honourable” retaliation.

Soleimani, who headed the Guards elite Qods Force, was killed in an American air strike near Baghdad airport in January.

Trump threatens to call off 2020 election with executive order saying Biden can’t serve as president

With polls showing President Donald Trump trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential campaign, the incumbent appears nervous that he might lose a fair vote.

At a campaign rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Saturday, Trump spoke for over 90 minutes.

In addition to vowing he will “fill” the Supreme Court vacancy created by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and accusations that Biden has performance-enhancing drugs injected in his ass, Trump threatened to call off the election by banning Biden from running.

“You can’t have this guy as your president,” Trump argued.

“You can’t have — maybe I’ll sign an executive order, you cannot have him as your president,” Trump argued as his supporters cheered.

What a Dumbass!!!

Trump promises America we will never see him again if Biden wins

President Donald Trump insisted he would withdraw from public life should he lose the 2020 presidential election.

Trump, who has been a public figure since he started appearing in tabloid stories in the 1980s, made the promise during a campaign rally North Carolina on Saturday.

“If I lose to him, I don’t know what I’m going to do,” Trump said, in comments that will stoke fears he may try to hold onto power regardless of the will of the voters.“I will never speak to you again, you’ll never see me,” he vowed.

To which BIden tweeted;
@JoeBiden
I’m Joe Biden and I approve this message.

Bill Barr goes full-on right-wing nutjob

Public Enemy #3 needs to be Dis-Barred!

Just in case someone is not persuaded that this Trump Administration is falling off its rocker, the advice from Atty. Gen. William P. Barr to federal prosecutors to use a two-century-old law to stop people – no, specifically “violent” leftist protests outside federal courthouses – from seeking to overthrow the government should make us stop and scratch our collective heads.

The wording of the federal sedition statute says it is a crime for two or more people to conspire to use force to oppose federal authority, hinder the government’s ability to enforce any federal law or unlawfully seize any federal property — elements that might conceivably be made to fit a plot to, say, break into and set fire to a federal courthouse, despite evidence that more than 93% of nearly 8,000 Black Lives Matter protests between May and August this year have been peaceful.

Maybe Barr should be looking at those organized Western ranchers, right-wingers all, when they held off enforcement of federal water law enforcement at gunpoint. Or at organized, armed Trump supporters who entered statehouses to threaten the lives of legislators considering laws to require coronavirus masks.

Trump’s ‘The Apprentice: Covid Edition’ is a massive flop — and blowing up in his face

-
I-t’s hardly new or revelatory to say this, but it’s critical to remember the role that “The Apprentice” played in turning Donald Trump, a notoriously bad businessman with a string of bankruptcies, into an American icon of capitalist success. Everything from careful editing to set designers giving the dreary Trump Organization offices a glow-up came together to create the illusion of success where only failure and mediocrity had been before.

The real world, it turns out, is too big to be captured and controlled in an editing bay. Trump’s increasingly futile efforts to make the pandemic disappear through reality-TV antics keep running up into the biological realities of people who get sicker and sicker, wind up in hospital ICUs and then on respirators, and then die. Trump can’t hide that his management of this crisis has been a total failure, and on some lizard brain level, he seems to to understand that he’s unpopular. That’s why his next big gambit is to try to replace the real election, which he would almost certainly lose, with a fake one where he’s declared the winner.

‘How is that not a failure?’: Trump health official called out by CNN’s Tapper over COVID-19 debacle

Admiral Brett Giroir was put on the spot on Sunday morning by CNN host Jake Tapper over the failure of the White House to still take the coronavirus pandemic seriously, and then ended up receiving a dressing down from the “State of the Union” host.

Noting the lack of masks at recent Trump rallies and the growing death toll of COVID-19 victims, Tapper exclaimed, “How is this not a failure, and how is President Trump leading us out of it in the right way, according to your own words?”

Girior attempted to explain that “people are empowered to know that they can slow the spread and change the course, they can save lives by doing the things we talk about, wearing a mask.”

“What about the rallies?” Tapper asked. “Dave Matthews isn’t touring this year because of the risk to his fans. But President Trump is doing these rallies. The people are not wearing masks. These are super-spreader events potentially.”

White House furious after Pelosi refuses to rule out impeachment: ‘These are bizarre and dangerous power grabs’

A spokesperson for the White House on Sunday lashed out at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) after she declined to rule out impeachment if President Donald Trump moves forward with replacing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the November election.

Pelosi was asked about the idea of impeaching Trump or Attorney General Bill Barr during an interview on ABC News.

“We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now,” the Speaker replied.

Why not BOTH!

wait until the biden and leftish get in. GOd help you boy you'll have to get a job and be taxed at 30 or 40 %You beg to have Trump!

BOY, Boy, who you callin BOY!

The first time I voted was for Nixon, cause I thought he was anti-war! I never made that mistake again!

They have all sorts of grounds--and good reasons--for impeaching the bastard again. They don't need the SC nomination. There are multiple examples of obstruction of justice, criminality, corruption, and treason available for them to use.

Yes and Nancy could use any or all of them against both Trump and Barr, but will she? My guess is she will dither about and threaten but fold like a tent!

Trump administration unilaterally proclaims new UN sanctions now exist — after losing Security Council vote

The United States unilaterally proclaimed on Saturday that UN sanctions against Iran are back in force and promised to punish those who violate them, in a move that risks increasing Washington’s isolation but also international tensions.

“Today, the United States welcomes the return of virtually all previously terminated UN sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran,” US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement.

According to him, the measures were “back in effect” from 8:00 pm Washington time (0000 GMT Sunday). The government of US President Donald Trump also promised to “impose consequences” on any UN member state which does not comply with the sanctions, even though it is one of the only countries in the world which believes they are in force.

“Any decision or action taken with a view to re-installing (the sanctions) would be incapable of legal effect,” France, Britain and Germany said in a joint letter sent Friday to the Security Council and of which AFP has obtained a copy.

The Americans themselves realize the statement is a “false claim,” Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif said Saturday.

Trump’s campaign reveals just how very little money they have left

Former Vice President Joe Biden announced that his campaign brought in a massive campaign haul during the Democratic convention last month ahead of the August campaign finance filing. President Donald Trump has attempted to keep his campaign numbers hidden with a late filing, and by Sunday evening it was clear why.

Trump’s total haul for August, when he got a week’s worth of free media from the Republican convention, was just $61.7 million. The campaign spent almost all of it, $61.2 million.

The campaign still has about $900,000 in debt. His cash on hand is just $121 million in the bank.

Trump’s big donor support has dropped by 61 percent as he refuses to turnout for virtual events.

Bankrupt and behind, sounds familiar. :)

Global banks defy U.S. crackdowns by serving oligarchs, criminals and terrorists

The FinCEN Files show trillions in tainted dollars flow freely through major banks, swamping a broken enforcement system.

Secret U.S. government documents reveal that JPMorgan Chase, HSBC and other big banks have defied money laundering crackdowns by moving staggering sums of illicit cash for shadowy characters and criminal networks that have spread chaos and undermined democracy around the world.

The records show that five global banks — JPMorgan, HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank and Bank of New York Mellon — kept profiting from powerful and dangerous players even after U.S. authorities fined these financial institutions for earlier failures to stem flows of dirty money.

U.S. agencies responsible for enforcing money laundering laws rarely prosecute megabanks that break the law, and the actions authorities do take barely ripple the flood of plundered money that washes through the international financial system.

In some cases the banks kept moving illicit funds even after U.S. officials warned them they’d face criminal prosecutions if they didn’t stop doing business with mobsters, fraudsters or corrupt regimes.

JPMorgan, the largest bank based in the United States, moved money for people and companies tied to the massive looting of public funds in Malaysia, Venezuela and Ukraine, the leaked documents reveal.

The bank moved more than $1 billion for the fugitive financier behind Malaysia’s 1MDB scandal, the records show, and more than $2 million for a young energy mogul’s company that has been accused of cheating Venezuela’s government and helping cause electrical blackouts that crippled large parts of the country.

But Trump's minions worry about sedition and vote rigging, while the banks are rigging the economies of nations. Guess who get the most contributions from Bankers? Come on guess!

Yes as Monday dawns, Trump is deep in the shit, is running out of money, few sugar daddys willing to dump more money down his rat hole, and a revolt brewing against Rethuglicunts who would sully the SC with Moscow Mitch's shenanigans.

The Courts have not been kind to him lately either. His bulldog is about to be impeached and Nancy the Naughty just may impeach his ass to keep Mitch from pushing the SC nomination.:)

Senate Rethuglicunts are weary of backing him up like last time, because the Election is sticky enough without Trump hanging around their necks like a dead marmot.

200,000 already dead and another 100,000 probable in active cases as Trumpinistas refuse to wear masks for mutual protection will piss off another million voters!

Small businesses folding left and right, tax revenue down with red states losing the prospect of a Federal bailout from fiat currency.

Yes a Great Week seems to be in store.:)

And yet STILL one in three support his wrinkly orange ass. Amazing and sad.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-nazi-eugenics-holocaust-twitter-b511858.html

Donald Trump’s rhetoric about “good genes” is “indistinguishable from the Nazi rhetoric” during the Second World War, an expert on the Holocaust has said.

“You have good genes, you know that, right?” Mr Trump said to applause from supporters.

“You have good genes. A lot of it’s about the genes isn’t it, don’t you believe? The racehorse theory you think was so different? You have good genes in Minnesota.”

Mr Trump’s comments were widely condemned as echoing the language of eugenicists, who believe the human race can be improved genetically by selective breeding.

“As a historian who has written about the Holocaust, I'll say bluntly: This is indistinguishable from the Nazi rhetoric that led to Jews, disabled people, LGBTQ, Romani and others being exterminated,” Steve Silberman, an acclaimed science writer who has covered the Nazi treatment of people with autism, said on Twitter.

Eric Feigl-Ding, an epidemiologist and senior fellow at the Federation of American Scientists, said Mr Trump’s comments mirrored “master race eugenics”.

He added: “This was how the Holocaust started. Don’t ignore.”

Whistleblower outs Kushner for COVID task force failures: ‘Organized crime melded with Lord of the Flies’

A former member of the White House coronavirus task force explained why he blew the whistle on what he saw as deadly incompetence within the group.

Max Kennedy, Jr. — the 26-year-old grandson of Robert F. Kennedy — told The New Yorker that he initially agreed to join the task force that was being put together by White House adviser Jared Kushner because of the serious nature of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It was the number of people who show up to an after-school event, not to run the greatest crisis in a hundred years,” he observed. “It was such a mismatch of personnel. It was one of the largest mobilization problems ever. It was so unbelievably colossal and gargantuan. The fact that they didn’t want to get any more people was so upsetting.”

Kennedy said that one political appointee on the task force, Brad Smith, urged him to create a model that predicted a maximum of 100,000 deaths because existing scientific models were “too severe.”

“I don’t know the first thing about disease modeling,” Kennedy told Smith before declining the task.

Kennedy said that the task force “was like a family office meets organized crime, melded with ‘Lord of the Flies.’ It was a government of chaos.”

“If you see something that might be illegal, and cause thousands of civilian lives to be lost, a person has to speak out,” he insisted.

Prince Jared is leading the What!!!!:eek::eek:

Wall Street delivers a stunning repudiation of Trump and his coronavirus failures

The stock market, the faltering Trump campaign’s last straw of hope for the November election, is turning out to be the Republican nominee’s short straw.

After a month of gradually falling stock prices, Wall Street on Monday was delivering a stunning repudiation of the current occupant of the White House and his radical Senate enablers for their failure to control the COVID-19 pandemic and to address the resulting collapse of the economy.

"It's the ECONOMY, ...STUPID" is still true Donnie Boy.:)

Bank account used for Trump’s hush money payments got cash linked to Russian oligarch: Andrew Weissmann

The latest bombshell book on the Trump administration reveals new details on the special counsel investigation into the president’s relationship with Moscow.

“The team led by Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, failed to do everything it could to determine what happened in the 2016 election, shying away from steps like subpoenaing President Trump and scrutinizing his finances out of fear he would fire them, one of Mr. Mueller’s top lieutenants argued in the first insider account of the inquiry,” The New York Times reported Monday.

“And he revealed new details — for example, writing that the same business account that sent hush payments to an adult film star who alleged an extramarital affair with Mr. Trump had also received ‘payments linked to a Russian oligarch.’ The president has denied the affair; his former lawyer Michael D. Cohen controlled the account. Mr. Mueller transferred the Cohen matter to prosecutors in New York, and Mr. Weissmann provided no further details about the Russian payments,” the newspaper reported. “Ty Cobb, a lawyer for Mr. Trump, also privately promised to be a ‘canary in the coal mine’ and provide a heads up if Mr. Trump was going to fire the special counsel team, according to Mr. Weissmann. Mr. Cobb did not respond to a request for comment.”

Attorney George Conway reveals two ‘great’ questions — that Trump can’t answer

Prominent Republican attorney and Lincoln Project member George Conway on Monday offered his analysis of how reporters should question President Donald Trump.

Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, made his comments after watching video of Trump refusing to criticize Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Who do you think poisoned Alexei Navalny in Russia?”

“Uh,” Trump replied. “We’ll talk about that at another time.”

Conway suggested reporters follow-up on Trump’s refusal to criticize the Russian dictator.

"That actually would be a great interview question for Trump: Tell me one thing you don’t like about Vladimir Putin. Or something about him that gives you pause or concern. Just one thing."
