A place for predictions and prognostications about your coming yule.

Merry & Bright ?

Angry & Dark ?

This Christmas will be about like last Christmas.

Black Friday sales, overcrowded malls on Christmas eve, lots of on-line shopping and UPS/FedEx working until 9pm on Christmas night to get it all delivered, chasing the missus around the Christmas tree...

I'm not sure.

The food and hospitality businesses with be effectively bankrupt by then, so for all but the top 15% or so of society, it'll be a very downbeat Christmas, unless they find or buy into the Jesus.

Overall I think it could very likely be shit. The powers that be are already mentioning a Christmas lockdown.
Can’t do the typical Christmas because of too many people in the bubble rule.
I am half way done with my Christmas shopping. I am prepared.

I would prefer to just go away to a cabin in the woods and skip the whole family thing.

Having grand kidlets that still believe in Santa makes it fun , spoiling them. After they leave it's same old same old.

We enjoy swinger Christmas parties during Dec. That will be missed this year .

Swinger socializing during a pandemic is like having meatloaf for Easter ,just dumb

It's going to be shit. Just like last Christmas, only with extra shit sprinkles on top.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, Derpy.

Christmas will be much of the same for us. Although I made out much better than most people are through the pandemic, so the kids wont notice anything different, they'll still get spoiled.

Ditto...it's already starting with fucking pumpkins and pumpkin spice. Fucking annoying!

I concur.

Hearing about incels who have sexual intercourse with spiced pumpkins during the holidays is extremely annoying. Have some respect for the vegetable kingdom, fer cryin' out loud.

Indoor malls are dead here. And they are now only opened 12-7. 12-5 on Sat and Sun. I don't expect crowds.

I was sick as hell last Christmas, probably with the COVID following a trip to NYC. This year, no trip :(

Congress passed the first Covid19 stimulus on March 26th. It has taken five months for the funds to reach all individuals. If Congress passes another stimulus with funds for individuals by the end of October, only a fraction of individuals will receive them in time for holiday spending.

I figure it is going to be a quiet Thanksgiving and Christmas. No grand kids to spoil. Maybe get together with a few trusted friends and sample some eggnog.

Seeing that every holiday in 2020 has been cancelled thus far, I am guessing Christmas will be no different. L

2020 will be the year where the Grinch finally, successfully, steals Christmas.

He's already gotten away with stealing just about every other fun holiday so far this year, and he seems to have Halloween and Thanksgiving in his gun sights, so...this time, it's looking like the Grinch wins.
