On September 9th, excerpts from Bob Woodward's new book revealed Donald Trump knew the seriousness of coronavirus in early February and actively lied about it. This, of course, has thrown Trump's White House and reelection staff into the kind of they swear they don't want to incite. So with the world literally and metaphorically on fire, let's check on the Sunday shows.

We start on CNN's "State Of The Union," where Jake Tapper nterviewed Trump's Amazon-search-certified trade adviser, Peter Navarro.

Navarro began by praising Trumpito on his second nomination for a Noble Nobel Peace Prize, and it seemed it was just gonna be the standard "Trump official lies to media" appearance. But once Tapper got to Woodward's book, he asked a simple question:

Two of the biggest names from the Fox Corporation are set to testify under oath in a lawsuit over a right-wing conspiracy theory that Russia did not hack the emails from Democratic National Committee that were released to help Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The report noted that Fox is seeking to block Laura Ingraham from being deposed.

A Kansas Republican is facing calls for his resignation over a Facebook post that appears to endorse civil war.

Mike Brown, a Johnson County commissioner, threatened violent retribution against President Donald Trump’s political enemies, who he accused of whipping up fear and chaos ahead of the election, reported the Shawnee Mission Post.

“Anarchy is ok,” he began, “because they all believe you are simply too scared to do anything about it and they believe it damages Donald Trump.”

“They’ve overplayed their hand,” Brown posted Sunday. “They’ve gone way too far and now it’s too late to get it back. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Johnson, on a call with reporters, said that his Senate Homeland Security Committee would at long last be releasing the carefully timed results of its fake, Kremlin-inspired investigation into Joe Biden's NEFARIOUS BEHAVIORS in Ukraine "in about a week." You know, because of how it is a totally serious investigation into a totally real thing, and not at all a wackass attack on Biden for the president Johnson serves with such devotion:

“Olivia Troye, the former top homeland security aide to Vice President Mike Pence, endorsed former Vice President Joseph R. The Southern District of New York officially announced charges against former President Donald Trump superfans and Rudy Giuliani pals Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.

In an indictment, the two men joined David Correia saying that they conspired to “commit wire fraud in connection with their efforts to raise funds ostensibly for their business, ‘Fraud Guarantee.’”

Last year, the Justice Department announced a four-count indictment with both Parnas, Andrey Kukushkin, Correia and Igor Fruman saying that the men “conspired to violate the ban on political donations and contributions by foreign nationals. In addition, Parnas and Fruman were charged with conspiring to make contributions in connection with federal elections in the names of others, and with making false statements to and falsifying records to obstruct the administration of a matter within the jurisdiction of the Federal Election Commission.”

Ironically, the company “Fraud Guarantee” was supposed to help protect investors from fraud.

In a moment of frankness, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) confessed that his efforts to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden in the next seven weeks are purely political.

Taking a page out of the GOP’s Benghazi playbook, Johnson announced his investigation “is meant to be a retrospective look into Biden’s conduct as vice president,” noted Atlantic reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere. “But Johnson is saying that it’s about whether Biden would be a good president.”

In Johnson’s interview Tuesday with Wisconsin radio, he confessed again that his efforts were all for President Donald Trump
