Unable to edit my profile

I seem unable to update/edit my profile. Anyone know why?

Instead of redirecting people away from the general board where you are not quite as important as you would like to imagine yourself to be, you could actually just answer the question.

The answer is, no one has been able to update any profile for years. It is broken, and apparently there are no plans to fix that.

The answer is as I said above. It isn't broken, it was intentionally disabled about 3 years ago. It would take less than five minutes to 'fix', but the Lord Of The Board doesn't want it to work.

Because of some technical glitch, you can't edit your profile from here. You have to go out to the main page and log in.
Scroll down the page until you find the site index. The seventh line down will be "submit/login".
You can edit your profile once you are logged in from there.

Yes, it does. I've done it. The advice I posted was also posted by Manu a while back. That's where I got it. Now I'd like to know where you got the information that it was intentionally crippled, or was that just your opinion?

What's changed on the story side does not appear over here. Numerous people have stated so on various threads. I just changed some thing over there a few minutes ago and it does NOT appear here. In fact, there are bits on the Profile over there that can't be changed any more since the new version a couple of years ago.

The easy solution is to make a mini bio in the signature section , that's working just fine for us.
