The West Coast is burning

Not really:
Los Angeles gets an average 14.93 inches of rain a year.

L.A. Airport: Average for seasons 1944 through 2020: 11.65 inches*

Not "several." Don't be hysterical.

That's ridiculous on many levels.

Yeah, I like how you cite the sources that I'm saying GET IT FUCKING WRONG as proof that I'm incorrect.

GO HERE and look at the graph image. Take away the single spikes that occur every few years in rainfall and see what you get on a yearly basis.

Hint: It isn't 15 inches. It's more like 7-8 inches.

The fact that you seem to believe the crapola that the weather forecasters produce only shows that you have no idea what the real rainfall here is.

But, let's put this into context just so you're clear on the point I'm making. Let's say that 5 polls show Trump has a favoritism rating as follows: Poll 1 = 42%, Poll 2 = 43%, Poll 3 = 44%, Poll 4 = 41%, Poll 5 = 51%.

Do you include the last poll as any part of the overall number? Or is it an "outlier"?

If it's an outlier, then the data can be compiled without it, other than to mention it as an aside.

Do you believe the average rainfall here should be treated differently and include the "outlier" years in the average? Or should the average be computed without them, other than to mention them as an aside?

Um, that's the same link I got my info from.

At least two fires in California and two in Oregon, dummy.

You're an impressionable idiot.

Two is "several?" Since when? Why the hostility? Sounds like you're the impressionable idiot in this exchnge.

Two and two is four, numb nuts. What hostility???:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Um, that's the same link I got my info from.

And you TOTALLY MISSED the fact that the data you cite to says 14.93 inches in one place and 11.65 inches in another. On top of that, you didn't question if the data is in error because of the difference in the numbers. Instead, you just quoted the bullshit as if it were truth without any actual understanding of what you're trying to say.

And now you're trying to support it by saying that's the data you relied on. I know what the average rainfall is and it's NOT 12-15 inches. The data proves it because the "average" they're computing includes the outlier years of overabundant and unusual rainfall amounts. Look at the graph and tell me if the majority of the blue lines are close to the red dotted line.

If we did get a yearly average rainfall of 15 inches we'd look more like the pacific northwest instead of being a desert.

Since when is 4 "several?" Name-calling = hostility. Did I attack your blatant misinformation?

There are about 100 fires burning right now and you call 4 "several." Talk about being an "idiot."

Are you hard of reading? I literally posted 2 different averages. Sorry your own link owned you.

It's not my fault you're a numbskull. The fact that you posted TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT NUMBERS for the "average yearly rainfall" didn't even make an impression on you that the data you cite to might be wrong?

Clever you ain't. Smart you ain't. The rest continues downhill from there.

LOL! Then your link is garbage too considering it's the same as mine.

And Los Angeles is a vast swath of land. It could easily have two different averages from the airport to the Inland Empire.

Get a grip and switch to decaf. Geez.

Unlike you, I didn't cite it for the "official" data in it. I cited it to show that the "official" data is bullshit.

You, OTOH, are now ducking and dodging like a lunatic to avoid facing the fact that you ACTUALLY POSTED that the rainfall here is BOTH 14.98 inches and 11.63 inches AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME and didn't catch that fuckup. Nor will you admit that you fucked up when you did it.

Instead, you deflect and duck and dodge trying to salvage your fucked up pride.

BTW, LAX and downtown LA aren't that far apart. The idea that the airport that's on the beach in LA would have INCHES LESS rainfall than the city center only a few miles away is insane. Especially since our winter storm track is that our storms come ashore from the pacific and LAX is right there on the beach.

Or did you think that LAX was someplace out near Lancaster?

You have a serious comprehension problem. I literally said that LAX and the Inland Empire are very far apart yet both in "Los Angeles."

Relax, dude. It's just a simple conversation. It's not my fault you can't read so well.

So now you're saying that the Inland Empire, which is the MOJAVE DESERT has 15 inches of rain per year?

You need to just STFU and quit with the stupid already.

WTF is wrong with you? I said Inland Empire several posts ago and the Inland Empire is in Los Angeles County.

I suggest you STFU with your asinine rebuttals. You're just digging your grave even deeper with each uninformed post.

Seems like you have a history of this kind of behaviorr.

dudly the Inland Empire IS THE FUCKING MOJAVE DESERT!!! The average rainfall there is less than 7 inches even using the inflated numbers you get from the weather service.

HOW THE HELL do you justify that as part of the 14.98 inches of rain in LA?

It's like you cannot keep your story straight so you go ever farther afield hoping to find some magic spell that will make everyone believe your bullshit.

From the link you provided.

Maybe you're a visual learner so here's a map of the Inland Empire and Los Angeles. Does this register?
