Yep, sounds about right. Most folks these days are focused only on their own individual interests and they have trouble looking farther outward...regarding citizenship or the common good for their Community and the larger USA. It's why Trump is so appealing to many..."put America first" Im fairly sure is heard by most individual supporters as "put me" first so I'll benefit. This works for them until something real comes along to knock them to their senses.
There is nothing more earth shattering than having someone you know, die from a so called hoax. That usually wakes them up.
