It's long been a mulled theme of mine that an institution - a hotel, sports complex or country club - has diverged from the pure concept of the original owners.

I see room for systematic honey-trapping, blackmailing and even n/c taking of the guests. Plenty of scope for CCTV, hidden mikes and other tech to feed into this.

A family of four arrives at a Mediterranean or Caribbean hotel. In turn and unbeknown to the others, each is forced by various means into sex. Each is filmed during intercourse and threatened with release of the footage to their family and onto the web should he/she not co-operate or go to the authorities.

I see room for expansion of the idea. A private leisure club offers an élite level of membership where select guests, for a fee, can join in the fun with picking 'victims' whom they enjoy according to taste.

Interesting premise

You need something that forces them to be there with these others. A wealthy family two or three generations maybe, 60's, 40's 20's, find themselves out of work, school and responsibilities, and decide to take a year long cruise and maybe they are delayed.

As they each learn of the other's indiscretions at first they want to leverage the information, but then their own kinks kick in and ...

Could be a big cruise ship, or an uber rich luxury yacht for just them and the crew.

Probably being cast on a very successful sitcom, they hate doing at it this point because of all the history but keep making it in the between takes time.

Why?

Does a family need something to "force" them to stay at a hotel, attend a holiday camp or go on a cruise..?

Families are doing it all the time. Mystified.

I guess I was thinking of the blackmail, extortion angle mentioned in the description. If someone is blackmailing you, the idea that you can just walk away. I guess it's not required but adds a tension.

No offence at all!

Seems to me the OP just imagines the institution preying on - via blackmail etc. - its customers/guests once they're in situ.. No real need for anything else - they're already there! But sure, you could imagine a situation where the institution brings its "prey" in from the outside by dark and devious means as well.

A classic one would be the English boarding school, set in a secluded location miles from anywhere. And the U.S. must also surely have something like this... an institution where people with more money than any parental affection get rid of their kids for large portions of the year.

Strictly final year pupils, it goes without saying... you know, before some busybody jumps in with the usual, tired old warnings to draw attention self-importantly in their direction...

Not a holiday theme, I realise, but at least the institution is there.

Magineer I think in the US we call it college and for most it does have a holiday theme but usually not so much on the family. Perhaps a legacy frat brother brings his son to college. Did you get your knuckles whacked with a ruler or spanked in the head mistress' office?

I'm certainly old enough to have been "whacked". All totally illegal now but doubtless still goes on in these places which are somewhat removed from public gaze.
