I try to be considerate.

So, I put as much info in the title as I could so someone interested only in stories about tentacles in outer space wouldn't waste their time having to peek in here and see what was needed.

So, where were we? Oh yeah. Editor wanted.

I think I do a pretty fair job of spelling (knowing the difference between your and you're, etc etc etc) but as you know, after a while it's difficult to be objective and spot problems in one's own work. So while the usual suspects (spelling, punctuation, grammar) are fair game, I'm mostly wanting someone to also give me some general impressions of the work.

And, perhaps, a wee bit of collaboration? Because two heads are better than one. And I know so very little about women's fashion.

As for categories, it's a bit of a tossup (and toss-off I hope) between many of the available selections. Exhibition/voyeur? check -- Interracial? yep -- Mind Control? maybe -- Non Consent? oh yeah --Transgender? definitely -- it might even be somebody's first time.

In fact, we might need a committee to determine where each installment needs to be posted.

So, what's the story about, you might ask?

It's about a loser guy who embezzles money from his employer and disappears, returning to the country as a uber-sexy transgender woman (who doesn't want her secret known).

In addition, this character has rejected all the old fashioned values with which he grew up (Christianity and the Golden Rule, etc etc) and comes to term with the fact the Black race is superior (he got picked on a lot before the transition, you know) and she wants to find the most deserving Master she can, and then devote her life and uber-sexy talents to helping her Master achieve his nefarious goals.

Since Master is involved in much criminality, she can be particularly useful in that area -- be it distracting border guards, making evidence disappear from the police station, making witnesses disappear before a trial, etc. So, drugs, murder, not coming to a complete stop at stop signs?

I foresee most of the installments as separate missions she carries out for Master.

Thank you for reading.

I thought I might give this another shot. If no response, I might let it die peacefully -- or I might ask again in a month or two.

One thing that appeals to me would be to set the story in an earlier era (the 1960's or 70's or 80's -- each has its own special appeal) -- perhaps with some additional elements of naughtiness rather than just the stereotypical "worship big black cock" thing ... like maybe her master would also like to see a government or two fall to communism. She can certainly help with that.

Or, suggest your own twists and turns, I'm open to suggestions.

Again, thanks for reading.

I don't think I could possibly cope with all of that, so unfortunately this isn't the editing help you're hoping for. I just thought I'd point out that there has probably been some substantial development in treatment of transgender condition, and the genital reconstructive surgeries, definitely from the sixties to current date but probably between the sixties and the eighties, for example. Don't know if that's relevant, because I don't think you're aiming for the most plausible of stories anyway, but that's what I thought when I read this.

Editors aren't supposed to do all of the research, structural, etc. work for the writer. That would be a well-paid ghost writer. You aren't really writing if someone has to do all of that for you.

Pin down what you want to put in a story and do it yourself. Editors come into the picture after you've done your best shot of that yourself.

Thank you both, Omenainen and KeithD for the comments.

It's true there have been a lot of changes in the medical sciences over the decades, but there are still men out there who look very much like women without having to do much work at all, and men out there who will continue to look like men despite all the hormones and surgery in the world. While a story like this probably wouldn't happen in the real world, I like to look on it as totally possible despite how likely or unlikely it is.

Also, I understand volunteer editors aren't expected to do all the work. I was looking for someone to read the story and give me a general impression of whether they thought it was any good (does my writing suck? are there plot holes that would make Hollywood proud? etc) and by the way if anyone was interested I would love to do some collaboration. Anything from turning over the authorship to just kicking around some ideas or maybe even just throwing out an alternative idea when I get stuck.

I hope that clears up any concerns, but I'm sure others will have opinions and I welcome them -- to keep me on my toes and focused on just exactly what it is I'm wanting.

Cheers.

men out there who will continue to look like men despite all the hormones and surgery in the world.

Trans women are women.

Just passing by, don't mind me, I'm going back to avoiding the Transgender/Crossdresser category like the plague now. Have a nice day :D

Hi there,

I like the premise of your story. It sounds like fun to me. I'm sorry that I'm not in a space to help right now, maybe in the future?

You should probably check out some of the forum threads about choosing catagories. There are some rules that might force your decisions, and some unwritten rules that you may want to be aware of.

* One big official rule is that anything with non-consent is automatically posted to that section, regardless of the author's desires.

* An unwritten rule is that many readers are not into transgender. They may complain and give bad reviews if their poor delicate minds are exposed to something they feel uncomfortable with. The same is true of any male/male content.

Whatever category you post in, you should also be thoughtful about how you tag your stories. Once they are no longer in the New Stories section, tags are how readers find your works.

I write in TG/CD with a lot of lesbian interaction but I hesitate to tag them with lesbian because of the TG content. I have also been called out in comments by readers opposed to drug use. I do my best to provide a warning at the beginning for those with narrower tastes.

Good luck, and enjoy your process!

FWIW, below is the warning I've provided. I think of it as the back cover of a hard copy.

Hello!

This is part one of a full length novel in four parts. It's a gender-fluid, 'what if everything fell into place,' fantasy about self-discovery, coming out and coming of age. It explores pansexuality, cross-dressing and several fetishes -- especially for things like swimsuits and athletic-wear. Some parts have bondage and D/s themes. There are family dynamics and dysfunctions, social conflict and misconceived religious interventions. The enthusiasm and foolishness of youth is at play, and there is experimentation with drugs. Some characters are hostile and bring a touch of violence, and of course, there is a lot of kinky sexual adventure, often gilded with loving romance. All characters are 18+. Enjoy!

Hi Alex and thank you for your feedback & advice. I wanted to do something more than "guy gets feminized and now he (or she) is a sissy cum dump" story. One of the big challenges (I think) will be how to handle certain things in such a way that they'll be permitted here. (Non consent, drugs, killings, etc.) I suspect there will be a bit of fade to black but not for the sex scenes.

Meanwhile, I see you've provided a link to your stories, so off I go!
