How are people feeling about American politics and society right now?

I'm fed up. I want it all to to end.

Waiting for the November election is like waiting for the season finale of some insanely unrealistic drama. I'm on the edge of my seat here!

There are some that wanna actually work to make things better......

And then there are the dinosaurs soon they will be extinct, Darwinism has to happen to them, it just has to

ignoring issues mean they ferment

ignore them long enough, they'll blow the lid off things

I think the US has become too polarized and too simplistic in solutions to issues.
Our current administration is actively inciting violence and making all the worms think it's already to crawl out of the woodwork.
Much of police culture needs to change, stop being influenced like TV and movie cops who can get away with anything, seeing the world as good guys and bad guys and start becoming officers of peace. Training and contracts have to change.
There are some good law enforcement officers and septs that are not as bad, we need more to be good.
I also blame society for allowing incivility to become the norm, it's like common decency, curtesy and respect for other people's dignity has largely disappeared.

Some items on the to do list could be done in decades. Others will take centuries, after the end of our civilization. As material living standards decline, values may shift to something else. Around the world, people in what looks like severe poverty to us are happy with their lives. The Zoroastrian-Abrahamic base of our civilization is missing some basic concepts, such as deep time and life force.

Our current President is trying his best to cause a civil war so he can call a national emergency and the declare martial law. After that he will abolish Social Security, Medicare and Congress. He is doing his best to turn our Nation into a third world banana republic.

Truth. The hard truth, though, this country having a history of popping off presidents for far less, Trump won't get that far because someone will pop him off before it reaches that point. It would be best, of course, that that doesn't happen and that he just winds up in the mental ward of a federal prison. He's set himself up for this all by himself, though. And it's also engrained in history here and elsewhere as well that it will probably be by some ultraright nut job who Trump has disappointed. He certainly hasn't delivered to his base while making fun of them and some dummy's going to notice that eventually and take action. It will probably be set off by some white nationalist's wife and son dying of the Covid-19 "hoax" and the white nationalist's own medicine and social security check not arriving in the mail.

Biden literally just gave a speech condemning rioters.

Don't really give a fuck.

Strange how so many foreigners get their knickers twisted over shit that has fuck all to do with them.

I expected dolf to be the only option.

I am an American.
I, like the Founders,
find "democracy" to be a pernicious evil
which is why only the House of Representatives
is a concession to the faction that believed in the passions of the mob.

Indeed.

Other than the celebrity factor,
you do not find many Americans who are vested in
English, nay, any European political struggles over shrinking pie...

The last celebrity that I gave a fuck about was Johnny Cash and even he would be shaking his head at all the retarded bullshit going on now

Degradation of society being guided by the sosh/ progs. How deep can we dig, how fucked up can we mold this country unto?

Biden finally (because polling showed the issue was sinking him) just gave a speech condemning rioters.

FYP.

He did just that, then today went back to softening his language and giving tacit approval to rioters by conflating ongoing, actually violent riots with "peaceful protest" that are nothing of the kind.

Not only are acts of violence against cops, vandalism, and arson still very much ongoing, the actual, stated intention of the not-at-all peaceful protesters and their outspoken supporters is to bring about change through terroristic threats and violent actions. Many, many statements including from Kamala Harris about "peaceful has not worked" or "only violence gets attention" and that property damage is more than justified by alleged systemic racism and their narrative that the police are actively engaging in purposeful mistreatment of specifically black suspects up to and including murder.

Biden made one tepid denouncement of violence in three months of riots and weirdly called on Trump to do the same, as if he has t been doing exactly that and much more explicitly for three months.

Biden doesn't get off the hook for inaction for months with one tepid statement that he hopes won't annoy the rioters that are a portion of his voters.

This is Biden the very next day after his "condemnation" of rioters. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uFtPM5ui8Fs he is calling the actual riots that Trump is recommending putting down with the National Guard "peaceful protests."

I could probably dig up Kamala Harris awkwardly laughing about how the violence (that she was specifically being asked about) will "continue through election day" when they still thought civil unrest was going to benefit the challenger.

Kamala and many prominent Biden staffers openly promoted, and donated to a multi-million dollar fund that has been bailing out rioters to riot again. These include people with actual charges against them.for assault, arson, and vandalism. We aren't talking people engaged in civil disobedience, like not disbursing when ordered to. Those get out o their own recognizance anyway, if they are even transported at all.

Biden owns these riots, no matter how much he protests that they are peaceful.

It's sad to see one of our political parties dominated by
Latin American thinking...
