Hi,

Not sure if this is a Personal, Roll Call, Hello or Thank You to those involved, but I thought I'd post this message to all those who used to read, post and produce the wonderful website Informed Consent.

I have since joined and struggled with many sites, in the end settling with this site for all things kink. I do however miss IC and wondered if any other Literotica readers used to visit it.

For me it always had that warm, friendly, local feel to it, a British institution like Countryfile or Gardeners World.

I chatted and met some amazing people on there - Feral Freesia, Dr Gas, Sapphy to name just a few.

It always had info on local munches at which invariably people would use there IC name.

If anyone does remember it please feel free to say hi.

Curious, what does this other web site have to do with Literotica?

Nothing at all to be honest, it closed down about 10 years ago. Just wondered if anyone on here used to frequent it.

I am familiar with informed consent from my psychology studies in college, but not the web site. Sorry.

The title was based on the psychology/hospital form.
The website was very kink and a BDSM based forum. I'm sure you would have enjoyed it. Had a similar feel to this site.

I remember IC very well and with great fondness, Mick. Met my only-ever submissive through the personal profiles there. Very friendly and easy to use. As you say, it had a cosy atmosphere to it and made people feel at home. Sadly defunct these many years now and a huge, huge loss to UK BDSM. There's been nothing remotely to compare with it ever since.

Hi Magineer,

Yes, I agree regarding its loss to the UK scene. I know fetlife and others do advertise events but for me they somehow always seemed more local through IC.

And definately a good place for Dom/mes and subs to open conversations.

Fetlife is absolute dire dross by comparison. IC closed, if I remember rightly, because the owners found it a strain to maintain. They should have sold it on to a third party. Such a poor decision to simply pull the plug.

Wasn't there something calling itself the "Slave Register" which was connected in some way?

I remember when it closed Fetlife being quoted as an example of a reason it couldn't compete. A real shame for me because I found thrm polar opposites.

I remember "Slave Register" being a thing but it wasn't something I followed.

You could literally register your slave and have a serial number for them. I've never known the slave registry site to be an online community, though.
